Hello all,

I have an issue and would want your help.
So, when registering for UTME in 2017, out of ignorance, I created the profile with a middle name, while all my documents has two names(no middle name.
But before I was offered admission, I did the correction and sent the indemnity forms to my state's JAMB office as is expected when the applicant is yet to be admitted.

Seven years after, the change still has not effected.
I visited my school's students' affairs officer, he asked me if the name on fslc, waec, and NIN are just two, I said yes. He then asked me to take those documents to jamb office.
I went to JAMB office, I was told that I would be notified through e-mail from Abuja about the change. I told them that since 2017, I have not received any response from them.

I still have a copy of the indemnity I filled and submitted in 2017

Please, I am worried. I just finished my final exams, by God's grace and have been worried my seven years in school would be a waste, because I can't serve.

I don't know anyone in Abuja to help me, I am worried please.

Anything about filling a form online and correcting a name or date of birth is a big problem in Nigeria....

Take for instance the NIMC. A very useless commission.

If it was functioning, there would be no need for BVN.

Just keep following and also try to drop some cash to your state jamb officer handling the case, he will likely put more efforts to reach people in Abuja on your behalf.

I actually asked him to help, even if it'll cost me, but he said there is nothing he can do, maybe he felt I am too small, I don't know.

I am still trying my best, to see if I can find someone who works at the headquarters.

Imagine them telling me that, if they allow for correction of name, then one might use another person's result. I was like, what's the essence of my biometric data with them?
Even if it entails me going to Abuja to get captured and prove the result is mine I will, honestly.

Go-to your school's student affairs unit, they'll guide you on what to do.

okay, but jamb didn't approve the change of name,is they any way to bypass that

What exactly is your problem? Because, mine was approved.

Check JAMB's Twitter handle to, you'll find complaints from others and JAMB's response. Mine was actually deletion of middle name, which JAMB said can be done but inclusion cannot, except for initials that will be written in full.
