Meanwhile South Carolina just refiled their equal protection bill that seeks to regard zygotes, embryos and fetuses the same as humans. Such that if the pregnant woman does anything to risk the lives of the unborn, she could be prosecuted as if she walked into the neighbors house and shot them.

Anything could include, heavy duty jobs, air travel, certain antibiotics or other medical treatment intended for the woman that ends up harming the fetus. It’s left to the discretion of the judge who may not even know the difference between the fallopian tube and the ovaries.

Women in physically tasking jobs will be torn between quitting their jobs and depending on a man (if they even have a man) or staying and potentially facing a jury for endangering their unborn.

Import tarriffs raised can be used to strengthen the border for instance , resulting in more local manpower getting higher wages.
Prices don't come down through proclamations but through policies that reduce inflation, increase production, etc. And these are not instant results .

1) As with a lot of policies that go wrong, the best thing is not to fix what isn't broken. The major error of USA trade policy was allowing China into the WTO or granting them MFN in the 1990s. It was a collosal mistake.

There are Trump Tarriffs from 2016 that were never removed and are STILL IN EFFECT today.
Americans may also be willing to pay the extra prices. Time will tell.

2) The USA needs to drastically reduce immigration, especially from 3rd World and undeveloped countries. The immigration system has been GROSSLY ABUSED. For example, the statistics show that over 50% of immigrant headed households are on some kind of federal welfare. That's outrageous.

The emphasis should be on a closely monitored GUEST WORKER program of the kind that exists in Saudi Arabia. Such programs already exist in the USA, they can be expanded.

3) Too much government is bad. Leave people alone to live their lives.
