Not sure how VFS does their passport return.

Biometric day - 28.11

Decision mail - 11.12

Says passport has been sent via courier that same day but no indication of the courier, tracking details or contact till now.

Any idea on what courier they use? or how to contact them?

Thank you
What VFS is this. Ikeja?

It was very frustrating, there was no tracking number on the receipt and I didn’t know their courier partner, I had to send someone to their center to find out what was happening, that’s when they wrote out the tracking number and said they use GIG logistics. It took four days to get the passport

momomufasa:
Hi,

In this same situation, how did the courier get in touch?

Thanks

Company: DHL. Tracking number is usually written on the passport slip you were given the day you did biometrics.
Thanks. Will ask my MIL if she was given anything

41,400 to send a passport booklet that weighs less than 200grams through a domestic route via GIG is sad. Thanks.

I don't like calling out businesses but vfsglobal is the worst. The only centres are Abuja and Lagos.
Payments are hanging and everything seems to be on the high side.

It is exorbitant!! And for them to use GIG and collect 41,400 naira is the lowest of lows.

For those of you who've been granted a UK visitor visa, how much (in Pounds) did you state as your total budget for one week in the UK (excluding accommodation)? To maximize the likelihood of being granted a visa, what's a reasonable/conservative budget (in Pounds) to state for a one-week visit based on a monthly salary of about 882,000 Naira, total annual allowances of about 1.6 million Naira and a monthly disposable income between 700,000 Naira and 900,000 Naira?
Your response will be highly appreciated.

Hello good people of the house, if there is anyone that want to book appointment on this new vfs portal should pls scan and send the appointment pages to us,these will help those who want to book appointment in fufure to get prepare for there charges, cos these vfs is a big scammer, they are exploiting those that apply for u.k visa,I don't no why they withdraw TLS contract, cos TLS contact are still the best.what we should do is to fill uk survey against them.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by dubaiprince: 10:43am On Dec 14, 2024
Please may I check with those that have attended appointments at VFS. Did they collect your signed checklist? The checklist says it should not be signed till you get to the appointment. My sister went for her appointment yesterday and she is worried vfs did not collect it from her. Though we uploaded the checklist but it was the unfilled and unsigned version. Also, she was expecting to get a slip to be presented for passport collection like we normally get with TLS but got nothing.

With TLS, the application most times get transferred to UKVI on the date of appointment but VFS application tracker has shown no movement.

I know I have said a lot here but just want to be sure our experience is in line with others and we have not left out any process at the appointment.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Exceldamsel(f): 11:16am On Dec 14, 2024
They didn’t collect the checklist from my mum as well, just the courier payment receipt was given to her so it’s fine

Good morning guru in the house.
I have a question on fixed deposits for uk standard visitor visa.
Must the money being fixed pass through your account?
Also how many months fixed deposit is acceptable? Thanks in anticipation
I don't know what you mean by the money passing through the account.

Fixed deposit can be for any length of time.

I'm guessing you mean if you transferred the money out of your account or same was debited from your account.

Let's assume you have ₦10m balance yesterday and today you instructed the same bank to fix ₦5m for 90 days, the debit narration would read fixed deposit or investment.

If you moved the money to the investment house from another bank that you're not submitting the statement, it still doesn't matter, provided the certificate is in your name and the tenor is stated.

I used a different personal account statement and the bank I submitted the fixed deposit certificate from is different. Tenor was 90 days and the terminal date was about a week to date of application submission

Please hope your salary can tally a bit with the claimed fixed deposit if you are not submitting proof of the origin of these fixed deposit funds? Or you have very strong ties or good travel history for them to ignore your misnomers?
Check this thread, you will find the refusal letter for the person with similar case. You will find it if you take your time. The ECO is not stupid.
Additionally you were recently refused for financial reasons etc, it’s far from wise to make spurious claims now as your application is at 50/50 based on the 2 previous refusals of yours.

With VFS, you won't get a notification of biometrics completion like TLS. However, the tracker will tick like the one below once the application is transferred to DMC.

Keep checking .
