even my friend back then. they actually detained me for dressing normal nd driving my brother's Mercedes, they said they will take me to Asaba from Warri, i was still in University that time.

It took one phone call to Commisioner of Police by my sister before d idioots freaked out nd apologised to me.

my sister get bad mouth sha, how time flies!
My brother was arrested back in 2005 by the police because they saw a laptop he was taking to Computer village for repairs. They asked him to present the owner of the laptop before he will be released.I had to go to the station to lay claim to it.

There is this popular police station “alagbon” the corruption in that station alone starts from the DPO down to even the police officers manning the gate, everything about that station reeks corruption. I was kidnapped by these officers on the road, my guy was driving, they get really ambitious when they see a young guy who isn’t wallowing in poverty, you don’t need to be rich to have them charged, you just need to be able to survive, apparently that is a crime in Nigeria especially for a young guy. They searched the car at the station, saw apple vinegar and called it hard drugs, they slapped me, kicked me and said we should write statements which they wanted to dictate for me, fortunately I was educated and kept reading what was writing on the paper handed over to me, that statements should be written by the individual not the police. Our phones were seized, I asked to call my legal representatives after being beaten for nothing, the conversations changed when they started to hear a legal representative, they resorted into blackmail and manipulation. My friend unfortunately was so tired, we have had a long journey and he wasn’t ready for the stress of going back and forth…they noticed he was the calmer one so they started talking with him instead of me since I was standing on my rights, I was so pained because I was the one who got slapped that day for having an apple vinegar bottle. My guy negotiated for a 12k ransom for both of us. They called in their pos woman and he made the transfer to the pos woman they work for, they released us and at the gate also, the officers asked for money again before they let us drive out.

I have had previous hatred for the police before because they tagged me for being a yahoo boy and I got beaten till they checked my phone and saw nothing, they blamed it on the dreads I was wearing at that time. But this one with the apple cider really brought in trauma, this was after end sarz period where things were even much safer than before end sarz, no one is safe from the police. I had truama for driving or even getting uber because you could get kidnapped by the police anytime and profiled for whatever reason. The other time one squeezed my dick while on a stop and search. The truama was crazy because I had mad hatred for them, If I had to decide life and death for them, I would easily ask for them to feel the weight of their actions. I stopped respecting stop and search because it was not a matter of you being right or wrong, I don’t respect the uniform, if you like stay there trying to enforce a fraudulent road stop and search, we would jam you, your leg might break but atleast im safe.

Some people say the problem of Nigeria are the politicians, I think if we can tackle the police”the law enforcements” Nigeria would be a better place, if the police were doing their jobs, the judiciary would feel safe to do their jobs. Most lawyers and judges can’t dare give the right judgement because the know the police can’t protect them. Whenever politicians want to do their evil jobs, they call the police.

My advise to this reform, that black police uniform is cursed. Change the color to blue, but let them earn it, whenever citizens see an officer wearing a blue uniform, they know he is different. He has proven himself, increase the pay for such officers and put them under even closer scrutiny. Other officers would want to attain that uniform and the benefits it comes with. Trust me, the reason why this would work is, it’s not even about just doing reforms alone, the force needs to earn back the public’s trust. I and 200million other Nigerians don’t only distrust the police, we hate them with passion, however there a very very few good ones among them who try to do the right thing every once in a while, those few ones are very powerless to the corrupt system. When a citizen sees an officer in a blue uniform, they would bring down that wall of hatred, knowing they can trust this one. The blue uniform shouldn’t be given to everyone anyone, you can pick out one officer who has proven himself and give him the treatment befitting for someone serving truly. Knowing this officer doesn’t steal and manipulate the public, you can put them on a salary of 200-250k…I see no reason why an officer should be earning less than 150k monthly and you expect them not to steal except we are just deceiving ourselves

You are getting nearer the Truth! Police, army, are the old Kng's men who go about terrorizing and destroying people and villages in the name of the king.

This is why bandits are disturbing everywhere. and it is one of them who shall be king of the area they have terrorized into submission and then other kings of other lands may recognize and accept him as one and then they shall call him president or whatever name of king he chooses to call himself.

No, it's the typical Nigerian mindset. Most Nigerians take advantage of power, and negative situations when they feel there's no consequence or accountability.
Absolutely! Correct! Every Naigeerian is guilty of this.

Keywords, accountability and consequency, once these two are inexistence, what you get are lawlessness and corruption.

What does dying of hair have to do with goodness? Are we in a free democratic country or not? If not then the constitution should specify uniform for citizens including haircut and hairstyles.
And also to be candid the police system needs a robust reform!
It's not about reforms, it more about obeying already established laws. The police disobey basic laws meant to protect the rights of citizens and the judicial system allows it.
And the British man and the said woman suppose sue the NPF there and then. But why are they mentioning all this now after they japa and had other countries' citizenship?
Sue the NPF? Now that's a joke. Even if you are able to sue the police and win after a tedious, expensive and time wasting trial, who will enforce the judgement? Do you know how many outstanding court judgement (monetary awards) against the police, EFCC and other Nigerian security organisations that is yet to be enforced?

Didn't it make it even worse with more taxes and more companies leaving the country? Why did people come out for ENDSARS? Wasn't it because they all had a story to tell regarding police brutality?

Dey play! Awon keep quiet so that no one will hear while you keep dying inside. You think the international community doesn't know what operates here? They know but more are being enlightened.
Most times when you see people attacking the truth here, it is because they are benefiting from the corruptions. Some of them are likely to be policemen, politicians or even children of the aforementioned.

Come and tell us,why Kemi should not be annoyed!
•VP Shettiman, can you see where Kemi is coming from?
From Political shenanigans point of view, how will you or any Government Officials feel,-if the boy na Una Child?
-Is this not what we are trying to Fight the Injustices in our Nigeria Land, that Kemi Badenoch is trying to Fight?
-Is this not what we see the Injustices Everywhere, including our Judiciary - for how can Case(s) be in a Court - for Decades ( over 10years) and above?
-Yet ,if these Cases are their own Child or Family Members that is involved, would they have allowed it to linger- for 5 yrs and 10 yrs and Above?
-For it is Stated in Law- 'Justice Delayed,is Justice Denied! e.g.When DISCOS - denied Nigerians light but their Ogas are having 24- hours near your House, and they brings Crazy Bills, what do you call 🤙 that?
Or ,you are told - that NEPA/ DISCOS is Exporting- Lights to Togo, Benin-Republic, without Accountabilities - you know it's a Big Fat Lies- just to accommodate Corruption and Incompetence of an Organisation - as they tell you where lights is going, but People already aware that it's not true!
Or your NNPC,came up with all manners of Stories - yet for over 40- years, No Functional Refineries and you want Nigeria to be Happy to Stay in Nigeria?
Can we All Condemned what is Bad and makes Nigeria Great Again?
What a shame of a Nation?
Kiss the Truth!

Hope you realise this isn't about Nigerian police?
It's about Nigeria and Nigerians. How we are spoken about paints a picture. The picture being painted isn't a nice one. Yh Nigeria has a lot of problems, but Kemi isn't a random Nigerian, she's the leader of the conservatives (opposition leader). Whatever she says carries weight. Now, she's saying negative things about Nigeria and Nigerians and she's a Nigerian, what do you think the white people (that don't like us anyway) will be embolden to say and do?
Maybe when you travel abroad and witness it first hand you'll understand.
Did you hear Rishi Sunak say anything of this sort about India when he was the leader?

Amina J. Mohammed has reached a position that Kemi Badenoch could only dream of, yet Amina has never said anything negative about Nigeria or said she only identifies as Hausa or Fulani.

Tijjani Mohammed Bande was the 74th UNGA President, he's a northerner from Kebbi State, but he never disowned his country.

Dr. Okonjo Iweala is the President of the World Trade Centre for two consecutive terms, and she has never denigrated Nigeria, and has never denigrated Nigeria or only identifies with only the Igbo.

But Kemi is always looking for a reason to spit rubbish about the country that did everything for her.
