money generated from southern just for building mosques 🕌, subsidizing hajj & marrying
multiple wives .

Their governments also pay dowry for
Their citizens to marry and produce as many
almajiri as possible to use for underage voting 🗳

Illiteracy and lack of exposure is the major cause.. of under development in the north. These people keep giving birth to children dey can't take care of. And the give birth in large numbers. The least children I have seen a man have is 6. Majority of them have 15 and above from 4 wives. I know of a man who have lost count of his children. He doesn't know all of them. How will dere be development without education. Public enlightenment. And civilization? That is not possible.

Forget about the normal banters were we de banter here. North Is the only region that is dragging Nigeria backward. South west, south east and south south is where you find the real developmental strides in all ramifications and they're competing heavily within themselves, but north in Nigeria is another planet entirely. Aside Kano and probably Kaduna, no other state in north is worth mentioning.

North was dragging the British behind reason for the amalgamation. It was bankrupt.
So it's the same situation now. They still are not pulling their economic weight in the country.

North does not need more political power to thrive and develop, what the North needs is purposeful and responsible leadership. The mistake has been allowing North that has not been able to manage its people to manage the whole country. North is too poor in modern governance.

To make north become moderately developed:

Let Nigeria's government do the following:

(1) HALT all govt developments in the south for the next 20 years.
(2) increase QUOTA SYSTEM to score of 1+ for the northern candidates but score of 300+ for the southern candidates.
(3) enable another 20 years of uninterrupted northern presidency for Nigeria,
(4) stop supply of electricity and mobile phone communications in the south but multiply the existing supply to the north.
(5) create another 20 new states in the north but merge many of the existing states in the south.
Afterall, Nigeria has been on situations like the above since the last 50 years.

North's expertise in politics is derived from proliferating 20 new federating units (states) in the old Northern region but allowing only 17 federating units in the two old southern regions. That left too many undue political representations at the central government to the northern region. And with the clause in the 1999 constitution: a presidential candidate must win 25%of votes in 2/3 of the number of states before proclaimed winner of Nigeria presidential election, these made northern have near veto on Nigeria's political process.

The South cannot beat the North in Arabic studies competition. That is a strength and their own choice. Comparing education in the two region is unfair. The North went Saudi Arabia and the South went West,

Very big question ooh ! The leaders from the North or plan less and selfish . They took the northern share of national resources to themselves alone. Lead t their local Govt workers don't do anything than to go to office on pay day. Is that how the place will be developed ?
