The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the construction of an airport in the State, a move seen as a significant dividend of democracy for the Southeast region under the current administration.

The APC leadership also welcomed the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, to the official flag-off ceremony for the airport's construction.

The party expressed excitement about the project, believing it confirms the reality of Igbo reintegration under President Tinubu's administration.

In a brief statement, the leadership in Abia said "We are excited to welcome the Honorable Minister of Aviation, Mr. Festus Kayemo, SAN, to our dear state. This action confirms our belief that Igbo reintegration is a reality under this present administration led by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

"We are grateful as we encourage the speedy realisation of this project."

Only 3 airports can generate enough revenue to sustain themselves in Nigeria (according to FAAN), yet the government is racing to build more unproductive airports.

This unnecessary praise-singing from empty-headed politicians is annoying.

Building an airport in a state where 85% of the state has less than 500k naira in their acct is just an avenue to syphon public funds.

There's a grace upon Tinubu, that is beyond the comprehension of his enemies. Don't fight that grace, it is bigger than you. This is an LP state and Tinubu is giving them an airport. Anambra is an APGA state and he's giving their party stalwarts political relevance at the federal level. This man hates nobody.

The way av been staring at Tinubu for quite sometime now .....In as much as av not been a fan of him, he's beginning to really do things that I least expected of him especially in his first tenure not minding if it's gonno bless or mar his journey to winning a second term!!....

Do we really really need airport in Abia state,ph and uyo is not far from Abia state.The government should have put more effort in providing good roads, railway, encouragement of local production.Train from aba direct to lagos and Abuja while generates more money than airport.Direct train from aba to onitsha will be more visible than airport.We don't need to be building what is not sustainable.

To me the federal government and state government are not smart on this, how many minutes will it take you from aba to ph.

We are not talking about osun or ekiti state,this is a state that individuals are more rich than any other state.

Why not use the money to rehabilitate or repair our old roads in Abia state or South East in general instead of new so called Nigeria airport in Abia state.

My reason(s) of calling it SO " Called airport" because what Nigeria government called airport does not deserve to be called airport, as the shopping malls in western countries or even warehouse are more beautiful and equipped.

Lastly, from Sam Mbakwe airport to Aba or Umuahia is just 30 minutes interval.

That is not how to play politics bro.No permanent friend or enemy in politics but permanent interest.Right now all well meaning Abians will support the gorvernment to build a befitting airport for us.Tinubu have done well and may he deliver the project before his first term comes to an end.

Many things including Words & logics are failing us, how not to fail, what will not fail and how do we not fail: expect a post on this topic & it will be short enough and precise in a period of less than a year time or so, may we meet again and to those who have stuck to me and will not let go, may we enjoy the bond.

Tinubu and God in the same sentence is blasphemy...unless you are doing word and opposite. Even at that, he's not a qualifying opponent.

To support APC and Tinubu is a very hard job! How is using Nigeria's money to develop Nigeria philanthropy deserving accolades!! So they've looted the thinking part of your brain to the extent you don't know that it is his job he is paid to do? Or tribalism has finally found a loyal slave in you?
