forgiveness:Really? That inter Milan lineup of those days? haba fear God o. Napoli was only a big threat in the days of Maradona. I followed serie A well in the late nineties and early 2000s Napoli was not on our lips like Juve, Milan, Roma, Lazio, Sampdoria and co. We have forgotten how difficult it started becoming for Nigerian players to be signed by the big clubs in Europe. |

Morrocan fans booing Ademola Lookman and calling him thief (Saariq) yesterday is uncalled for. CAF should stop hosting this CAF award event in Morocco please. |

opes:As bad as we think that coach is he sparked something in our players but as usual all Nigerians are better coaches, so sad. That man deserved a raise in his salary for him to be retained. Till today we don’t know where we are in terms of coaching. We must always choose the harder way |

Why has VO9 not congratulated Lookman openly..? I don't think it's a nice view PR wise. |

The morrocans have been fuming seriously on social media about Lookman's win and has been blaming racism. This next year AFCON, they'll try every possible means and tactics to make that competition a nightmare for other participants. I don't blame them but CAF for giving them this entitlement mentality by making them host several ceremonies and competitions there recently. |

daveP:I can't write a lot on it because, I was streaming both the CAF Awards and Galatasaray's match simultaneously (the audios were overlapping), I only paused the match when Nnadozie and Lookman were giving their speeches. So on that note: Venue: I'll rate this 10/10 and I'm glad the next AFCON will be hosted in Morocco, we'll definitely have that 2022 Qatar-esque vibe in Morocco. Picking that venue for the award was on point! Publicity: The publicity was just above average, not too bad, but not too good... The way they counted down to the D-day using CAF Awards facts corresponding to the number of days was brilliant, but I don't think non-Africans will get that super anticipation kind of feeling for the event the way it's supposed to be. I felt they could have done more on this. I'll rate it 6.5/10 Language used(especially this): This is where I wasn't 100% present, the man (I think the host) I don't know if he was speaking English or French or Arabic, and the interpretation was wack! I could only hear Kate Scott (The Brest lady) clearly, she did a good job masking whatever error or blunders the man might make with a very very good stage presence and poise. FIFA President even say Barbra Banda na Nigerian. 😂 I'll rate this 6/10 'cos of Kate. Style of Award Presentation: This was good, just like everyday awards presentation, Oscars, Emmys, Grammys, Tonys, etc... 10/10 Stage performance by musicals: I paused at every stage performance except Diamond Platinumz's, and they did good... That first Amapiano song was one of Osimhen's favorite during the AFCON, so I love that song 😂 "Eiii shuku shuku shuku, Eiii shuku shuku shuku, shuku shuku"... So with Platinumz's performance only, I'm rating 8/10 here. Throwbacks and Clips timing: This was just perfect! They really worked and rehearsed well on this and ended up delivering a 10/10 work of art! 🎨 Speech and honorary award: The speeches were great and concise from most winners, that referee own burst my head 😂 funny but meaningful... Ademola Lookman's 🥹? Masterpiece, sharp speech as sharp and precise as his goals! 😤 Liveliness in the audience: At a point, I was thinking if there were humans in that hall - vibe was near zero, low vibes at times can make a host or presenter get confused on stage. I no just understand the kind people wey attend that event. Na Nigerians make the place light up small as they call Lookman name. Here - 3/10 Carrying along of African Legends in award process: This was something I personally loved how it was done, the way their names and achievements were mentioned before even inviting them on stage was a show of respect and recognition, so 10/10... Any other thing you noticed: NEPA took light at a point, camera man been show something wey I no understand 😂 In conclusion, the entire event: 8.2/10 I ended up writing a lot 😂😂😂😂😂 |

Your teammate won the Footballer of the Year award a year after you did. Yet, you haven’t sent him a public congratulatory message, even while being active online, posting as if you’re trying to show the world you’re present. I know some may argue that you might have sent him a personal message, but not acknowledging this publicly comes across poorly and reflects poorly on your sportsmanship.. Gutter behavior. |

opes:Our people were arrogant making him feel he was atrocious in his demands we should have negotiated and come to a compromise, the price we are paying for today. When a man has surpassed the target you gave him, easily he has the upper hand but the bad press the coach had made it look as if what has he even achieved and of course his assistant ended up carrying us inside the bush. Na our story be that. |

Osimhen not publicly posting ademola's win is weird no matter the angle you want to use. When I saw people criticizing him I went to check his ig to know if he was offline since yesterday(almost impossible) but the guy posted just 3 hours ago and all his stories in the last 24 hours did not include ademola. Almost everyone in the squad has posted lookman and it makes it look somehow for him not to have posted for two reasons (1) he is a teammate, and (2) he was the old winner. |

solonnachi:North Africans are always bad losers, even when it’s obvious they were not better in a competition they lose. My hope is that one day they will exit African football and join their Arab colleagues in Asia. It’s about time. Their bad sportsmanship is nauseating. I remember Eto and other stars winning the award in Nigeria, na we go Dey hail Dey sing your praises. Honestly we don’t know how better we are as a people than others out there. |

Goke7:Wait ooo my people. I've scanned my memory. It's as if Obafemi Martins never played for Nigeria. I can hardly remember any match where he was lit. He's just a blip, nothing more. Yet he was on fire with his blistering pace those days. |

Joezinho:I really think all is not well between both players. Perhaps one does better at masking his sentiment than the other. While the other may not know how to disguise at such. No need for the fans to make a molehill out of such. So long as they have a working relationship for the national team they represent. I want to ask if Ademola congratulated Osimhen last year openly? If he did so and the gesture is not returned then that's unfair. If he didn't and the gesture is mirrored back , that's ok. I recall when both were leading the scorers chat in Seria A, Lookman had openly said he would catch up/surpass Osimhen in the top scorer race, but Osimhen will post a slightly cryptic message on Yoruba saying "iwofa lenu" I feel Osimhen's message didn't go down well for many neutrals like me who thought Osimhen shouldnt have said that if they didn't have that cordiality. Because I'm well familiar with yoruba customs and insult can be an integral parts of relationship. Osimhen will end up as Seria A top scorer, league winner and best player. While after that incident Lookman couldn't score frequently as he had thought he would. If Boniface won this. We know who will carry it on his head the most . It will be none other than Osimhen. But since the "iwofa lenu" matter up to the Finidi George matter , up to what almost seemed like a shameful transfer saga. Osimhen has adjusted himself and I want to believe he is cool with Lookman but choosing not to post him is another miscalculation or wrong move. If Hakimi had won , chances are Osimhen will post to congratulate him for succeeding him as the African best, so why not Lookman? |

Another player we still Dey underrate na Simon, I saw a goal he scored for his club the other day and i jumped out of my chair, the guy raced pass players in the box like lightening and blasted home. The whole stadium went mad. |
