amnotapervert:How is money printing responsible for expensive housing? You also did not say that it was because JT wanted to reassign his finance minister that made her resign, it is not as if she woke up and offered her resignation. |

[quote author=Bobomaigida post=133331953]How is money printing responsible for expensive housing? Basic Economics 101. Canada isn't building houses fast enough to meet demand. Money printing floods the economy with liquidity, lowers interest rates, and drives investment into real estate, which increases demand and drives up housing prices. And yes, he forced her to resign after she couldn't control his $62 billion deficit spending as Minister of Finance—just like he forced his previous finance minister, William Francis Morneau Jr., to resign. |

And yes, he forced her to resign after she couldn't control his $62 billion deficit spending as Minister of Finance—just like he forced his previous finance minister, William Francis Morneau Jr., to resign. The bolded is the reason why houses have been expensive, not excessive liquidity, the interest rates have been on high since March 2022 and it is only this year that the BofC have started easing the rates. As for the finance minister the main issue bwt her and JT is how Canada was to handle Trump threats of 25% tariff on Canadian goods, while the ex finance minister believes that they should confront Trump head on and keep their resources (Money) handy to that( that is why she was against the $250 cheques that the govt will give to some certain tax payers), JT believes that they should rapport with Trump and negotiate to see what they can do. It is this disagreement that has led for JT to try to move her to another ministry before she resigned, though there are rumours that the ex finance minister wants to contest for LP leadership if JT resigns. |

Bobomaigida:Even before interest rates started reducing, did you think house prices would drop? It seems unlikely since they aren’t building enough houses fast enough. I have my personal house, purchased in 2023 (fixed interest rate), and an investment house that I got with my sister in 2022 (variable interest rate). Even if the Bank of Canada reduces interest rates back to COVID-era levels of 0.5% or 1%, and the mortgage rate for variable loans decreases due to lower demand, I can still rent the property at market rates. Unfortunately, market rent will remain high because of excess spending on housing with little to show for it. Demand remains high because immigration numbers are outpacing housing supply. As for the Finance Minister, she resigned because Justin Trudeau was likely going to throw her under the bus anyway. She couldn’t present the Fall Economic Update deficit, so stepping down was a move to save her political career." |

What are the chances of Trudeau govt surviving next year's election? Will it pan out like the US election where opposition won with a landslide? If govt changes, what does that mean for immigrants? amnotapervert: |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by affoncad: 4:06am On Dec 18, 2024 |
Jeboy:Polls indicate a difficult path for Trudeau's Liberals in the 2025 election, with the possibility of an early election, as the Conservatives, led by Pierre Poilievre, are significantly ahead and more likely to win. A Conservative victory will bring immigration policy changes, such as stricter visa rules, particularly for student visas, and reducing immigration levels, as most Canadians now view immigration as too high. |

Jeboy:Part 1 The world is turning conservative Germany France all their government fell this month and would should change government to more conservative party 🥳 🥳 So Justin Trudeau will not win the next election his party is behind in the Poles badly and he is trying to do everything to stay popular $250 cheques to people earning below $150,000 and all that but he has messed up 🇨🇦 badly It's alot but I will explain the little I can So yesterday which was on Monday the finance ministers was meant to present the Fall Economic Statement (FES) Which had a $61 billion dollars deficit That means Justin Trudeau spent 61 billion dollars more now Canadian are angry that he will be spending more on $817,000,000 in additional spending in healthcare support for asylum seekers and refugees. Additional $490,000,000 to Quebec to help with Asylum seekers. Additional $77,000,000 to house asylum seekers next year, plus another $100,000,000 for more asylum claimants lodging costs. Special immigration measures for Gaza and Ukraine will cost $112,000,000 over the next 3 years. Asylum and refugees direct additional costs are adding billions to our deficit Canadian are angry with him and his reckless spending on illegal migrants and the economy The Government of Canada is now projected to owe $2.6T by 2030 and pay $70B in interest per year which is madness 🤯🤯🤯🤯 They also claim they will have $1 trillion in financial assets to back up this debt. Guess what that is 🇨🇦 pension which is CPP Also the Canadian Dollar dipped below 70¢ overnight Monday night when all this was happening. The last time this happened was in 1993 and 1998. His reckless spending on and different bills that hurt Canadian pocket Bill C-293: Canadian sovereignty Bill C-63: Controlled speech Bill S-210: Digital identification Bill S-275: Bank of Canada reform Bill C-223: Universal basic income Bill C11 Censorship Bill C21 Disarm Law Abiding Citizens Bill C18 More Censorship ArriveScam; 62 million dollars $258 Million in projects to GC Strategies; Winnipeg Labs; SNC Scandal; Aga Khan trip Scandal; $84k Jamaican Vacation; $6k/night for a single room for the Queen's Funeral; $1.3 Million on 3 'Affordability Retreats'; China Election Interference; Chinese Police Stations in Canada; Green Slush Fund Scandal 400 million Funding Islamic groups who are protesting in support of Hamas; $1 Billion paid out for Hotels for Immigrants; Additional Bell funding, $40 Million to fire staff; A Billion Dollars to CBC to collapse their credibility; Blocking Veterans Affairs Committee investigation; $29 Billion in cost overruns on TMX; Expanding MAID into those with Mental Illness; $2 Billion to invest in companies that don't exist; $500 Million to fund abortions in other countries; WE Scandal; CPP increase and CPP2; Highest inflation in 30 years; Highest interest rates in 30 years; Unsustainable immigration; Forcing Untested Vaccinations; Ignoring Vaccine Injured; 11 Million Canadians requiring Food Banks; 2 Million Canadians hitting the food banks per month; every month. Tent Cities in every major city; Housing and Rent prices skyrocketing; Healthcare Collapsing; Out of-control spending by the Governor General; Overpayment of CERB payments to prisoners, people who don't qualify, people who don't live in Canada; 10k Ventilators, purchased from a Liberal Friend, that never got used because they were never needed; $300 Million for storage of Mobile Hospitals that were never used; $400 Million for Quarantine Hospitals; Illegally using the Emergencies Act against Canadians; Firing Federal workers and not paying them El based on Vaccination Status; $30 Billion in making batteries for cars, while EV Manufacturers are divesting from EV Technology: Accusing India of killing citizens on Canadian Soil; Soiling relations with China; Telling Germany and Japan that we don't want their business on LNG; Part2 If you didn’t know, here it is: Pierre Poilievre is going to be the next Prime Minister of Canada. https://www.instagram.com/pierrepoilievremp?igsh=NWRsamFkZndpeml0 But a clown jagmeet singh who even isn't in JT party is the reason we have to wait for an election jagmeet singh is waiting for February 23 2025 when he qualifies for his 2.3 million dollars pension then he can vote against JT to trigger an early election. If not it's till October 20/27 2025 and I am sure it will happen after jagmeet singh qualifies for his pension. To answer your question after my long rant: What are the chances of the Trudeau government surviving next year's election? Zero chance—it's virtually impossible at this point. Will it pan out like the U.S. election, where the opposition won in a landslide? Yes, it will. The Conservative Party is projected to win 226 out of 338 seats. https://338canada.com/federal.htm If the government changes, what does that mean for immigrants? - Immigration policies will likely return to how they were before Justin Trudeau, with a focus on PNP (Provincial Nominee Programs) and category-based draws. - Pierre Poilievre has stated he will limit the number of foreigners to match the number of houses being built in Canada. What this means for international students: Obtaining a student visa will become much harder, but with fewer students, there will be less competition for PR (Permanent Residency) after graduation like it was before 2015 my brother got his PR in British Columbia after schooling in Ontario - Protests like the ones in Brampton for PR will stop as PR is a privilege not a right It will also streamline the PR process for the jobs wanted by the government in demand. Canadian schools rely heavily on international tuition fees, so while the number of students may drop, they will still accept some. The good news is that students who do get in will likely have a better chance of converting to PR after completing their studies and working. So there is hope but you need to get that student visa and be in a program in school that the government see as indemand like health care construction and STEM Sorry for the long write-up! 😁

From the three comments above about people who knows much about Canada, I think newcomers should review Canada as japaa route for 2025 and instead go to other friendly countries without impending political change and economic hardship. If no be say my millions don already enter Canada over a year now, I will be thinking of another country. This is just the truth. Thanks @affoncad and @amnotapervert. I also heard Canada govt has cancelled flagpole and 50 points LMIA for EE Applicants in this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxN5PCO8s6k?si=sd3VCvTqniVqEUlc Applying for study inside Canada with a visit visa may become impossible as flagpole is usually involved when receiving the study permit and converting from visitor. |

amnotapervert:Looks like overall Justin Trudeau's citizenship bill is better than Stephen harpers's government, while will a minor at 14 years required to take knowledge and language test for citizenship including 64 years. Citizenship cannot be revoked for serious crimes under harper's government, countries like UK and US revokes citizenship for serious crimes including terrorism.. All features on 2 ,3 4 ,6 ,7, 8 bill is reasonable with Justin trudeau. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by amnotapervert(m): 10:31pm On Dec 18, 2024 |
Predator188:Justin Trudeau and his Liberal Party are known for making the citizenship process faster and easier. However, the Conservatives take a different approach. The Conservatives excel at keeping the economy strong by emphasizing fiscal responsibility, reducing government spending, and cutting taxes. Trust me Canadian want lower taxes now ( remove carbon tax) On the other hand, the Liberals focus on higher taxation to fund more government spending on social programs, infrastructure, and green initiatives. I do agree with revoking citizenship for dual citizens involved in terrorism. On July 31, 2024, the RCMP, which functions similarly to the FBI in Canada, arrested Ahmed Eldidi (62), who gained Canadian citizenship in 2023, and his son, Mostafa Eldidi (26), a permanent resident. Side note: Ahmed Eldidi (62), is a know ISIS member that is flagged in the USA since 2015 for terrorism reasons how the Bleep did he gain access to Canada Both were caught red-handed in a terrorism-related crime. This case is shocking. https://ici.radio-canada.ca/rci/en/news/2100374/man-accused-of-planning-terror-attack-in-toronto-screened-twice-before-getting-citizenship-official Ahmed Eldidi, who sought asylum in 2018, obtained permanent residency in 2020 and citizenship in 2023. He was reportedly planning to target a place of worship this year. This incident highlights a critical flaw in the current immigration and citizenship system, as such a person would likely never have received Canadian citizenship under a Conservative government. While I don’t agree with Conservatives on everything, their emphasis on security and economic stability is what Canada needs at this time Canada has been taking international students before I was Born and will continue to do so. Different government determine the numbers they will take and the Conservatives are good at reducing the number |

I have a question to ask. My course program is for a year, but I got two years study visa and work permit. This has prompted me to consider doing another course program immediately after I complete this program in order to get 3 years PGWP. Can I do this second program in my school without reapplying for a study visa? |

So IRCC usually have knowledge of the times we ask for GCMS note? And if yes, what does that do to them or the visa officer involved. I am just curious. Bobomaigida: |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Bobomaigida: 8:04pm On Dec 20, 2024 |
Jeboy:Cos the GCMS notes contains the handling of the applicant's file and the job done by the processing officer, they will usually want to have a decent work that will likely be reviewed by the applicants, their reps or lawyers. So sometimes when requests come for files that have been languishing, the VO remembers, then does a touch up or attends to it, though his action does not stop the responsible unit from sending the note. |
