The morrocans have been fuming seriously on social media about Lookman's win and has been blaming racism. This next year AFCON, they'll try every possible means and tactics to make that competition a nightmare for other participants. I don't blame them but CAF for giving them this entitlement mentality by making them host several ceremonies and competitions there recently.
or you blame the so called giant of Africa who presently can't host any Caf tournament.

Wait ooo my people. I've scanned my memory. It's as if Obafemi Martins never played for Nigeria. I can hardly remember any match where he was lit. He's just a blip, nothing more. Yet he was on fire with his blistering pace those days.
one of the effects of always finishing 3rd or 2nd in afcon. You cant really quantify their contributions since they have no accolades to show for it so it will always seem like they were never here. Mention kanu to any person and the first and most notable contribution that will be mentioned will be the Olympics medal he won for us. An age grade competition.

I really think all is not well between both players. Perhaps one does better at masking his sentiment than the other. While the other may not know how to disguise at such.

No need for the fans to make a molehill out of such. So long as they have a working relationship for the national team they represent.

I want to ask if Ademola congratulated Osimhen last year openly? If he did so and the gesture is not returned then that's unfair. If he didn't and the gesture is mirrored back , that's ok.

I recall when both were leading the scorers chat in Seria A, Lookman had openly said he would catch up/surpass Osimhen in the top scorer race, but Osimhen will post a slightly cryptic message on Yoruba saying "iwofa lenu" I feel Osimhen's message didn't go down well for many neutrals like me who thought Osimhen shouldnt have said that if they didn't have that cordiality. Because I'm well familiar with yoruba customs and insult can be an integral parts of relationship.

Osimhen will end up as Seria A top scorer, league winner and best player. While after that incident Lookman couldn't score frequently as he had thought he would.

If Boniface won this. We know who will carry it on his head the most . It will be none other than Osimhen.

But since the "iwofa lenu" matter up to the Finidi George matter , up to what almost seemed like a shameful transfer saga. Osimhen has adjusted himself and I want to believe he is cool with Lookman but choosing not to post him is another miscalculation or wrong move. If Hakimi had won , chances are Osimhen will post to congratulate him for succeeding him as the African best, so why not Lookman?
I'm sure they are cool. Osimhen's no show is not allowing us to scrutinize other team members who are yet to post despite being online. Iwobi and senior man are high on this table.

I think iwobi and senior man has posted!

When I said a while ago that there was a thing between Lookman and Boniface which may be impacting the national team I was made to feel like a conspiracy theorist. Now we are screaming about osihmen and Lookman. These guys apart from teammates are also rivals and competitors and only children will deny there is nothing among them. I just hope nff and our coaches will continue to do all they can to foster healthier relationships and even healthy competitions among the players which is not bad in itself. I love the atmosphere I see when they are all together but any hiccups make them settle on time. God bless Nigeria

Lookman sportsman gesture was replied with Apala song by Osimhen....anyone wey understand Yoruba language go Sabi the message....I remember Boniface interview after Atalanta vs Leverkusen, asking him about Lookman performance, his response was shocking......well they are all young guys growing up,very soon they will understand better.

Well, congratulations through phone call is another way than going social media,so possibly Osimhen and Boniface have done it through cell phone

so was it the age grade competition that gave Kanu his 2 APOTY, okocha was in the same age grade competition but never won it.

A good relationship gives us good national team,so normal for fans to be concerned about our players relationships.....we nearly lost out during 94 WC qualification due to players beefing

I suggested when Boniface was firing blanks that he and Lookman should lock themselves inside a room and talk. I also expected the coaches to intervene. All these things do have its impact on our success going forward. It was the partnership between osihmen and Lookman at Afcon that made Lookman blossom so what could have gone wrong? Am bewildered

The average man spends time relating with his phone than with another person. So it is just normal that our phone habits define us.

boniface even congratulated him on X. I'm sure the whole team congratulated him personally but then it will be good for optics if they present a united front in congratulating him to avoid rumours.

Our people were arrogant making him feel he was atrocious in his demands we should have negotiated and come to a compromise, the price we are paying for today. When a man has surpassed the target you gave him, easily he has the upper hand but the bad press the coach had made it look as if what has he even achieved and of course his assistant ended up carrying us inside the bush. Na our story be that.
Hope you know he contributed largely to the position we currently are in the world cup qualifying series?

A raise to $80k is fine in my opinion.
If you give any Nigerian coach $80k, I sure say we go qualify for world cup even with the position wey we de currently.

Your teammate won the Footballer of the Year award a year after you did. Yet, you haven’t sent him a public congratulatory message, even while being active online, posting as if you’re trying to show the world you’re present.

I know some may argue that you might have sent him a personal message, but not acknowledging this publicly comes across poorly and reflects poorly on your sportsmanship..

Gutter behavior.
Rest joor!!!!

Man Utd make move for £41m Rashford replacement

Manchester United have made contact with the entourage of Ademola Lookman, according to Sky Sports in Switzerland.

Atalanta would be willing to negotiate a sale for offers above £41million, the report adds.

And the 27-year-old would be a high-class replacement for exit-linked Marcus Rashford.

Lookman has scored 43 goals in 96 games since moving to Italy.

Liverpool and Chelsea are also said to be watching, as well as clubs elsewhere in Europe.

I was talking in terms of trophy. Atleast kanu can use his two APOTY to guide in conversations of his relevance. What about others who scored more goals and you can't mention one memorable super eagles moment with them simply because they did not win a trophy with us.
