Good day, fellas. About the pastor who left Winners. I think he left the church offended(based on my assumption don't take it personal). I am not a member of winners but from his messages online, it's obvious that the pastor felt hurt and left the church offended. Although, I perceive that he has refused to express his reasons. I think the pastor felt that Bishop David Oyedepo didn't treat him the way he wanted or there are things he expected Bishop David Oyedepo to do for him of which he didn't do. N.B: Before you start insulting yourselves, I only made an assumption based on his messages online. The messages seem to be pointing at Bishop David Oyedepo. |

According to earlier reports, Bishop Abioye retired due to reaching the age limit stipulated by the Living Faith Church’s operational guidelines which serves as the church’s constitution. “I did not attend Shiloh 2024 because Shiloh without Bishop Abioye is somehow,” Melaye said. Can you see the double standards? Bishop Oyedepo had previously advised critics to refrain from questioning the church’s decisions.Be mindless sheep and pay your tithes! |

Truvelisback:first OFF, he never left. He reached the usual age of RETIREMENT and he RETIRED gallantly. He was NOT the only one.... and it didnt start this year. Several others who joined the church when he joined, but were older than him were also retired years ago and later they start their ministry, yet they all still come for shiloh and keep their honor for the bishop David Oyedepo So since he has retired, he is FREE to start his own. Even Bishop Oyedepo's son rumoured to have left, is currently in shiloh, HE NEVER LEFT.... he was only permitted to do his own outreach ministry. YOU MADE A POST for the purpose of sowing a wrong thought... .why? what would you gain? Are you ready for 2025? is this the best way to use your data? THESE GREAT MEN SEE LIFE DIFFERENTLY..... stop discussing people who don't care about your existence. FOCUS AND BECOME GREAT TOO........ by discussing ideas and advantages. These kind of vain talks are exactly why CHRISTIANITY IS DRAGGED AND SO WEAK..... christians undo themselves by themselves. Other religions protect their issues from getting to the public. PLS BE WISE |

Truvelisback:It's glaring that all is not well. But expect his blind followers to attack you for stating the obvious. Very vicious set of hypocrites. Even the disciples of Jesus didn't defend Jesus like Oyedepo's followers do Oyedepo. |

blackpanthar:Alright. I want to ask: 1. Was Pastor Abioye a full-time pastor? 2. What do they do for pastors that served the church and retire at that age? For example, in Anglican, they build a house each for their retired priests and give them a huge amout money to manage themselves. |

RETIREMENT in the Lord's work or in Oyedepo's business venture? ![]() |
| Re: It Seems Pastor Abioye Left Winners Offended by MaxInDHouse(m): 5:47pm On Dec 18, 2024 |
You people just like deceiving yourselves! None among Jesus' apostles got retired in fact apostle John was serving in his 90s when he got banished to the isle of Patmos. So who is retiring who in the Lord's work? ![]() |
| Re: It Seems Pastor Abioye Left Winners Offended by Truvelisback(op): 5:48pm On Dec 18, 2024 |
jesusjnr2020:I perceive he left the church unhappy. The man had served the church faithfully for decades. Note: I love pastors(genuine pastors) because the work isn't an easy stuff. Retiring at age 60 is not an easy thing. I urge G.Os to treat their pastors in such away that their retirement would be joyous. I.e They should be a better benefit after retirement. Like Anglican, they usually build a house each for their retired priests and a huge amount of money to manage themselves. |

MaxInDHouse:What you don't know is that, there is a limit to what one can do due to age. |
| Re: It Seems Pastor Abioye Left Winners Offended by jesusjnr2020(m): 6:09pm On Dec 18, 2024 |
Truvelisback:The retired man is making it more and more obvious that it was against his own wish. He didn't even wait up to a week or 2 before starting his own ministry. I don't expect the retirement benefits to be an issue in his case though because even if they don't many of his followers would be willing to support him. |

Truvelisback:And such never applied to any of Jesus' friends shey? Stop deceiving yourself in Christianity death is the end of our earthly race until resurrection when we are given incorruptible bodies to continue serving our God throughout eternity. Retirement is never a Christian practice rather it's the command of men! Matthew 15:7-9 |

Truvelisback:You people are reading your minds into things. Bishop Abioye's messages have NOT changed. He's basically just still saying the same things he's always said for years now. I think many of y'all busybodies are just beginning to listen or follow him. Worst still, you people even see headlines or hear short clips and build a theory. Here's a honest advice for you people: stop this busybody tendencies with regards to church. If you're so interested in church, join one. Stop reading your minds into pastors' minds like they're your state politicians. It's honestly disgusting. |
| Re: It Seems Pastor Abioye Left Winners Offended by Truvelisback(op): 6:54pm On Dec 18, 2024 |
MaxInDHouse:The pastor only retired as a pastor of Winners' Chapel based on their leadership rules of the church, not in God's work. He is still in ministry doing God's work. Stop confusing yourself. |

Truvelisback:Ọmọ we are saying the same thing highlighted shows it's based on man-made RULES and not what Jesus taught! Matthew 15:7-9 ![]() |
| Re: It Seems Pastor Abioye Left Winners Offended by damosky12(m): 7:13pm On Dec 18, 2024 |
MaxInDHouse:Of course, no one retires from ministry as such. Y'all should understand that retirement in this context is more of church administrational than actual ministry. Your church history books will teach you that John wasn't administering a church at the island of Patmos. He was a banished there. Even his epistles showed that,in his later years, he retained oversight over his disciples and churches via letters. Right? Let's stop being dogmatic and believing others are ignorant. From a fellow Christian with no affiliation to winners chapel. |
| Re: It Seems Pastor Abioye Left Winners Offended by MaxInDHouse(m): 7:26pm On Dec 18, 2024 |
damosky12:According to the highlighted was apostle John banished by the church? And Jesus spoke about your churches that you people practice what man-made RULES says instead of what he taught. Matthew 15:7-9 There is no RETIREMENT in the Lord's work no church practiced it in the first century! ![]() |
| Re: It Seems Pastor Abioye Left Winners Offended by damosky12(m): 7:38pm On Dec 18, 2024 |
MaxInDHouse:Sorry I assumed you knew this as per you mentioned Ireland of Patmos. Yes, John was barnished to Patmos. Not by the church. He wasn't even administering any church before he was... And Jesus spoke about your churches that you people practice what man-made RULES says instead of what he taught. Matthew 15:7-9Simple knowledge of grammar and context shows us the recipient of that statement. News flash! It's not the church. It's Pharisees! And basic Bible knowledge teaches that God worked with the church throughout the book of Acts even in the making of "man-made rules." Even the Bibl we read is filled with instructions that you can otherwise call "man-made," but they were inspired by God. That's how God works with these "rules" by the church. Quick assignment: Read Acts 13 and let's talk it. ![]() Maybe you should go and search for a better scripture verse for what you're trying to do. This one is nursery-level drab. There is no RETIREMENT in the Lord's work no church practiced it in the first century!Retirement is not from MINISTRY. It's a church administration thing. It's a retirement that allows them to safe tine to do other things especially when they're not as young as they used to be. Why this is a fuss is because it's announced. The Apostles, for instance, "retired" from welfare administration to focus on prayer and the ministry of the word. That's an actual instance that can help Acts 6:2-4 [2]Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables. [3]Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. [4]But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word. |

damosky12:Obviously you don't know that false religions in Jesus' day bears that group name but since all of you have known the name they bore back then none of you will answer Pharisees today but it's by your FRUIT that we will know where you belong not by your claim! 2Corinthians 11:14-15 compare to Matthew 7:16-18 damosky12:I love the verses you quoted! Now let's take it verse by verse: The church increased in number due to inflow of Judaists from different places so there is need to attend to some issues that's why the Apostles told members to select trusted men in the church to handle such assignment nobody was retired like your churches are doing today! |

MaxInDHouse:You're trying to sound familiar. Jaudaists kor! Sit down. The Apostles handed over the work to others. That's retirement. They didn't stop preaching and they didn't stop praying. Literally what we see with Bishop Abioye. Shey? My guy, stop this beating about. If you insist you're seeing an error, go and start a church and do the right one. No need to be emptily noisy and nosy here. Regards! |

damosky12:The Apostles have responsibilities that Jesus gave them and sharing of food will make it difficult for them to handle such assignment that's why they gave that to younger men in the congregation. In the congregation we have the elders (Bishops) {1Timothy 3:2} handling weightier responsibilities while the ministerial servants (Deacons) {1 Timothy 3:8, 12} are given the lesser assignments no one gets retired! ![]() damosky12:I never engaged you in the first place so if you don't know what the Bible teaches keep quiet and let Bible scholars do this! 2Timothy 3:16-17 |

I purposely came to your thread so i can remind you what you said regarding offering in your churches and why true Christians (Jehovah's Witnesses) don't go on retirement unlike your own people! Truvelisback:Your Abioye and Oyedepo part ways in order for Abioye to gather his own subscribers and start making his money through their tithes unlike true Christians (Jehovah's Witnesses) where no one can get rich through our ministry because it's not for business! ![]() |
