Speaking English....wat is domestic rice production will fall........huh? Nigerians with over Sabi. Nd trying to sound intelligent whereas na cotton wool plenty for their brains .....

When domestic productions is not sustainable it lead to inflationary spirals such as wage cost push and hyper inflations all of these further necessitate fall In both real and disposable income since the face or intrinsic woth of norminal income hv been wiped off ....

Now if borders are opened it will create room for effective competition of which at the end bring back or correct the disequilibrium of the value of products in the market. The resulting effect in this will be visible in price reductions

For ur unemployment assertions the competition in place will excercabate further entries into the market of products owing to relativeness in price and accessing of goods by different market agents nd competitors....( Employment generation)
Okay, let's keep handing our forex to the thais and the brazillans.

You mean the crowd followed dead women to the morgue. Abi you did not see the crowd and people walking around. Is a morgue a entertainment spot
watch the video. As u don't understand igbo, ask who does to translate what the commentator was saying. He said that that was a mortuary. And that more dead people were being brought in.
It's a tragedy, that's why u find so many people. The arrangement of the corpse should tell u that's not where the incident occurred.

This shouldn't be true.

With what happened in Ibadan, every philanthropist should know that there must be guidelines for giving free things, good intention is not enough.
Organiser must be arrested

This is what evil politicians and their cohort have turn our beloved country into. Beggars, that's their weapon. Imagine this magnitude of calamity. Both the organisers and the donor should be apprehended with immediate effect.

The problem with opening the border is that domestic rice production is going to fall, meaning more unemployment.
Let it fall naa.
The local farmers can't feed the whole populace. The borders should be opened ASAP

You can say it's their fault, but there are no laws that specify how issues like this should be dealt with. Moreover, some organizers are not even prepared to handle such events. There needs to be more awareness, and these disasters present an opportunity to create nationwide awareness on the need to handle such situations properly.

Certainly i am not 100 percent right, but everyone has a part to play and there is a need to lay down the protocols for organizing such events, both the organizers and the general public or individuals going to collect palliative should play their part.

What i suggest specifically is for the organizers to know how many people they can attend to in a day and when the number is exceeded they should not let other people crowd the place.

Though, there could be a better way to address it.

Why i believe or i may be wrong, the organizers are not to be blamed yet is because if i look at it based on intentions and awareness, i think we know that the culture of nigerians is to crowd and rush into gathering without considering their safety, i use to do this in school. Also the intentions, the organizer just wanted to help yet they have not really considered or thought or considered the dangers of crowds.

This means we have not really considered this problem in society or regard it as important though such has happened before.
johannu:
Listen to yourself. "It is not the fault of the organizers." "But the organizers should learn from this and ensure safety standards are followed."

Those idiots rejoicing and politicizing the Ibadan incident as evident of Yoruba poverty can now hide their faces in shame. This is Anambra, the billionaires capital of SE and people are killing each other over mudu of rice.
If not poverty what else

have you heard of stampede happening since 1999 where food is to be shared. This is happening only in Tinubu's administration. If poverty didn't lead to the stampede, what else did? angry
