But I think the onous is on you.

Your father doesn't like him for obvious reasons:
> He is yoruba and you, Igbo.. (archaic reasoning)
> He is Muslim and you are not. (my Muslim buddies are my best buddies)

You are the one in the relationship, not your dad (FYI)

My advice Get an elder who your dad respects and listens to and confide in that elder, who will talk to your dad.

Our parents e.g Toonubu need advisors, who will mention modern ways of dealing with issues. The same goes to your father.

I've made suggestions that I'll disregard my dad but he's still not listening but I've tried my guy is someone spiritual so all those things my dad said he believes it's now working i don't know what to do our child is just 2 months old I'm worried

Never disregard a father's blessing.

Please take my advice and seek and elders counsel whom your father listens to.

Marriage or being in a relationship is hard enough even without parents blessings.

Imagine if they don't agree.... #Wahala

Argue for it citing your baby and a united home.

It's just my dad tho my mom supports the relationship I'm just tired of the whole separation thing it even went as far as him telling me to move my things to the other room (that's my boyfriend) but my guy's people has gone to see my dad he's still not accepting he wanted me to do an abortion not minding if i loose my life yes my father said so that he doesn't care if i die while aborting he doesn't want to bring Shame to his family according to him and you said i should not disregard him when I've tried haba I'm human na I don't even have an elder in question what then do i do

Argue for it citing your baby and a united home.

This is sad.

As a Christian, discuss this with an elder in your church.

And move on prayerfully.

With time, he would come around.

What is happening to his finances?

Is he a business man whose business is slowing down? If yes, try to factor out why and suggest ways by which he can revitalize his business.

Is he a salary earner who seems not to understand how his finances are dwindling faster than expected? Analyze his recent expenses or habits that are causing the financial drain. Advice him accordingly to clear his doubt and free his mind from that illusion.

Listen to your father.
He knows what he is seeing in that Yoruba Muslim man. If you foolishly get married into that family, you will regret it. Love is still intoxicating you sha.

God please don’t let us bring in children that will bring disgrace to us.
Imagine an uncircumcised philistine getting your daughter pregnant outside wedlock. Tufiakwa! I can imagine your father’s grief!

He is building this profile to be used for scams in 2025.

He is a scammer!!
Re: Heartbreak by Nobody: 7:46am On Dec 26, 2024
Your dad should take over the responsibility since he doesn't want the father of your child. He should call for a sit down afterwards.

God forbid that my daughter gets pregnant outside wedlock. As a Christain, I would train my children to know God and fear God and abstain from sin and immorality. They would never be as loose as you as to get pregnant outside wedlock not to even mention sleeping with infidels and getting pregnant and expecting to be accepted.
Chai!!! Tufiakwa you don’t know the shame and grief you have brought upon your father. I pity him, he will be regretting a lot of things.
