Last year when body and back pains was showing me shege banza like Tpain govt. I was adviced to change to an orthopaedic foam due to my weight.
The first one week...I kept tossing on the bed throughout the night..but I later got used to it.
Mine has a soft durable covering on it making it easier for me to adapt.

Meanwhile I have tried one orthopaedic foam before which I couldn't cope with even after weeks and I have to abandon it.

There are some like the one I'm using now that the surface is not plain...its design is well padded with foam on the surface giving a sort of relief after sometime.

The Op can change it to a more durable one.

P.s. I have a little back issues and so I hated the over soft and bouncy foam I had. I went and bought this semi orthopedic foam that the seller highly recommended for my issue. Omor, the foam hard die. Even sleeping on bare floor is better than this mattress. The annoying part is that I can't move and turn my body. Any spot I lay on, it will go down and then refuse to bounce back once I get up; it takes forever to rise up. I just regret the money I wasted. The sellers are not willing to take it back sef. The foam is already wavy and uneven; the centre has almost collapsed. I will soon get another but just skeptical so that I don't buy rubbish again.

No you're not asking many questions. If you're gonna add more weight soon, then but Vita Haven or Supreme.
First image is normal fabric, while the second is quilted.

But if you're buying either Vita Haven or Vita Supreme, they both come as quilted.

As to the price, I do not know. Someone on this thread mentioned they currently work with Vitafoam. If you're in the South West part of Nigeria, I might only be able to direct you to a nearby store though.

I'm 72kg, and in not suffering from any joint conditions.. I only bought the mattress because it was recommended by the seller as a 'good and durable mattress'

What do I do next? It's just too hard for me to endure and I don't know if it's going to get any better (or get slightly soft so that I can enjoy the mattress

That's even what I want.

All these soft mattresses after you wake up they'll be giving low waist pain because the waist regions sinks inside for several hours while you're lying down.

My next mattress must be orthopaedic. I wish we can even swap. I hope you get used to it.

Why didn't you ask before buying orthopedic? Now you've spent good money on what you aren't enjoying. Orthopedic beds should be recommended by a doctor but Nigerians just buy things for the sake of it.

A good quality mattress is what he needs and it doesn't come cheap.

These days, hybrid is the deal.
Na your pocket. A good hybrid mattress is more than 1m quid but worth investing in.

Didn't see this before I commented.

I use simba hybrid 11 layers.

They have 14 layers already.
Don't know if I can squeeze out money to buy that mattress again. Went for it under duress but it is worth it.

Is there anything wrong with the pricing? I bought it from a market in the north.. they initially said it's for 170k but we finally settled at 110k.

buy 1inch or 2ich foam of same measurement of your bed if its 6by6. Then buy a bed cover and cover both together. That is the cheapest thing to do.

Oh, I know Prestige. It's one of the Chinese products emerging in the market due to its comparative cheapness with respect to top Nigerian mattress brands.

As for the options I recommended, a 4½ by 6 by 8" mattress that can carry 80kg for those brands currently cost:

• Mouka Flora - 106k
• Royal Gallant - 103k
• Unifoam - 98k

Orthopaedic mattress for naija be like wood. I have used the uk and canada ones, they are not as hard and are a bit bouncy.

We should consider many factors including price when downplaying Naija products the average price of kings size orthopaedic mattress in UK should be around £450+, can’t be less than $700 in US while in Australia here you won’t get it less than 1k.
Let’s do conversion and compare we can see why the product is inferior. The only issue is return policy because if there’s one I see no reason why the guy should be here because of what he can return and get back his or her money.
