Olawalesadiq:You and Rashduct4luv are not serious. Who told you Christmas is idolatry? Do you know why it's celebrated on 25th December? Cos the birth of Issa was to be done and that date was chosen. If you don't like it, hug transformer. |

Jewish and Christian foods are generally considered halal, provided they meet specific criteria: the animal must be slaughtered, and the food must not contain pork, alcohol, or anything else deemed unlawful in Islam. When it comes to Christmas food, opinions differ, and it's not necessarily about the person asking. For example, many Muslims refrain from eating food associated with pagan traditions, a decision unrelated to their religion. Others abstain because they view celebrating Christmas as an innovation, Jesus's actual birthday is not recorded, nor is there evidence he celebrated it. Islam takes innovations in religious practice seriously, as they can lead to misguidance and further deviations. Also, its roots in paganism doesn't help. It’s often a case of "better safe than sorry." On the other hand, some Muslims choose to partake in Christmas celebrations for various reasons. This could be to maintain family harmony (especially in cases of reverts), to foster a sense of community, or simply to treat it as a general holiday, as is common in Western societies. Please note that the Qur'an and Hadiths provide comprehensive guidance on some matters, yet this remains a personal choice and has little to do with any religion. Personally, I don’t invite non-Muslims to Eid celebrations unless they express interest. Imposing on others goes against my principles. Every religion has its own guidelines and practices, and I struggle to see why everyone is expected to participate in each other's celebrations. We're not children, after all. This expectation isn't a form of tolerance, real tolerance is about respecting differences, not enforcing uniformity in a secular society. eTECTIVe: |

Allah means Oluwa, Chuwkwu and whatever name anyone calls the a lone God, the being above all gods and human, angels and spirits. For example, Arab Christians also say Allah Akbar. Allah meaning God. Akbar meaning great so God is great. In Yoruba that is "Oluwatobiloba" I know you are not muslim but I will assume you will still get punished for lies like claiming Muslims worship the moon god. To my knowledge, there is no history of a tribe worshipping the moon god in Nigeria or Arabia however your forefathers used the moon to calculate seasons, days and months, etc. that is exactly what the moon in Islam does - for telling days and seasons. God is not moon and vice versa. It is not everything school will teach you and refrain from copy and paste islamaphobic rhetorics. It makes you look stupid. ConDawah: |

blingxx:You people are obviously misinformed about Jesus birthday date. Christ would have been born around September or so. But during that time, there's an idol in Rome celebrated every 25th of December, and it happens that most christian converts still attend the idolatry feast with their kit and kin maybe because the fanfare and food associated with it. So, the church saw this and devised a means to stop it, so the church decided to fix a Christian celebration on that day. Did it work? Did it dissuade the converts from attending that other feast, yes it did. This is what I already learned since I was a teenager. On the flip side, in the 90s especially, Nigerian Muslims witnessed the biggest mass exodus from their fold to churches. Redeem, celestial, Cherubim and seraph, Winners etc witnessed high rate of Muslim converts. Some became pastors, serious one. How did the Muslim community react to this mass exodus? They started having programs in the mosques on Sundays. So that the christian neighbor prepare for church, her Muslim neighbor too is preparing. Muslims now hold night vigils in the mosques. Muslims now hold midweek services, etc. Did your prophet do these in his days or did he instruct you to do so? Only, idiots carry religion on the heads! Only a bigger idiot think religion is spirituality! Only a compound idiot thinks God has a favorite religion. The Muslims went on to brand themselves slaves of their Allah, imagine that. 🧐 A slave in my opinion must to overdo in other to impress his master. Is that why there's so much Islamic terror all over the world? |

Dear "Average" Muslim, Alhamdulillah that you are a muslim. I am not a scholar or anything close, but let's tell each other the truth. If you and I had some super power of absolute correctness there wouldn't have been need for the prophets or the religion. We submit as muslims to the superiority of the knowledge, and will of our creator. I repeat, as an average muslim, you are saying that you are not perfect in your practice but you at least acknowledge that your creator is one God and that the entirety of what you think you know is less than a drop in the ocean in comparison to the knowledge of the one who created and fashioned you. If you disagree with these things, you may want to reconsider this whole "I am a muslim" business. If you think your knowledge and understanding superior to your creator or to his prophet, again, you may want to reconsider this whole muslim thing you have going on. Allah does not require your statements about being a muslim, only your intentions and actions. I see many of us coming out strongly to talk about how their father was this, or their childhood was that... Both you and your father will answer to Allah. Allah will not excuse you because of willful ignorance. Please read the Qur'an again sometime and remind yourself of the various reasons the people of Hell found themselves in that position; it rhymes with: this was what we found our fathers doing May Allah guide us unto the right path. None of us is inherently better than the others, only by the grace of Allah and his blessings on the sincere steps that we take towards him. Please don't advertise and celebrate your own ignorance. We are all ignorant about one thing or the other, but the wisest of us is the one who knows what he doesn't know and doesn't expose his own ignorance but quietly improves himself. Allah does not have a son. Allah does not have a son. The charge of the christians against Allah is so great, but very few of us truly understand the magnanimity of it. You cannot celebrate the christian's belief that your lord has a son. You may not be able to change them, but you certainly cannot be contended to join them in celebration. The analogy of what we do is like the son whose mother was raped and the rapist remained unpunished and unrepentant. The mother has accepted her fate and has compelled her children to let it go and not make war. Every year the rapist comes out to celebrate the anniversary of his actions, and the mother stays indoor finding comfort in the presence of her children and that gives her the strength to resist the taunts of that day. She always tells her children to temper their anger and not make war. After a few years the children have forgotten what the rapist did; they join the drumming and dancing and merrying with no sense of what they're dancing about. They're completely enchanted by the festivities. Their mother watches in horror as her own children dance with her oppressor. We, as muslims, have lost sight of why the Christians are not muslims, however close they seem to us, and however good we must be to them as neighbors. They are not the enemy in that you should despise them but certainly their religion is theirs and we should make it clear that ours is Islam. Jesus is a prophet of Allah, he wasn't born on christmas, and he wasn't killed on the cross. It's okay not to make war but that's not to say we should go dancing with them in the streets May Allah guide us all towards him, and forgive our shortcomings. Remember, don't celebrate your own ignorance. Alsalamaleikum from another average muslim |

Sterope:When you want to deceive yourselves, you'll say Allah is a generic name of God in Arabic. So then what does Ilah mean? Oga, Allah is not the generic name for God in Arabic, it is the name of the moon God. Before you tell me Ilah is not the the generic name for God in Arabic, you have to explain: Bisim ilahi and Al-amdull ilah and their meanings. |
