I'm Gradually Turning To God Of Thunder by thesolutions(op):
There is always a spark when my body touches anything metal or the ground.

Coming down from bed in the morning, I use my big toe to touch the ground first like someone Checking if pool water is cold with his toe. If I make mistake use my whole foot, the hair on that leg stands erect.

I'm now afraid to visit petrol station or gas plant.

The worst is it looks like I am the only one that feels the shock when I make contact with another person.

This season is dangerous.

The phenomenon you’re describing sounds like static electricity discharge. Static electricity builds up when there is an imbalance of electric charges on the surface of an object or body (like your own). It’s common during dry weather or in environments with low humidity. Here’s a breakdown and suggestions to mitigate it:

Causes
Dry Skin or Environment: Dry air, particularly during harmattan or winter, increases static buildup.

Synthetic Materials: Wearing synthetic fabrics like polyester or walking on synthetic carpets can generate static.

Shoe Soles: Rubber or plastic soles on shoes don’t allow charge to dissipate easily into the ground.

Lifestyle: Constantly touching metal objects or electronics can lead to the buildup of static.

Why Only You Feel It
If the people you touch don’t have a significant charge difference or are wearing materials that prevent conductivity, they may not feel the shock.

You might also have a lower threshold for noticing these discharges, making it feel like only you are affected.

What to Do
Moisturize Your Skin: Use a good moisturizer or lotion to reduce dryness on your skin.

Choose Natural Fabrics: Wear clothes made from cotton or other natural fibers instead of synthetics.

Change Your Shoes: Try shoes with leather soles or other materials that help dissipate charge into the ground.

Humidify Your Environment: Use a humidifier or place bowls of water around to increase moisture in the air.

Discharge Yourself: Before touching metal objects, hold onto something grounded (like a wall) for a few seconds.

Avoid Shuffling Your Feet: Walking normally instead of shuffling can reduce charge buildup.

Anti-Static Products: Consider anti-static sprays or wristbands designed to prevent charge buildup.

Visiting Petrol Stations or Gas Plants
Static sparks can be dangerous in areas with flammable materials. Ensure you touch the metal frame of your car before filling up to discharge any static. Also, avoid synthetic fabrics when visiting such places.

If the problem persists or worsens, it might be worth consulting a physician to rule out any unusual physiological causes.
