You'd spend more to rent a Self-con in Lagos than you'll ever spend to get a 2bedroom flat in Ibadan or a mini flat in Ogun

For most remote workers that are of SW origin, a large percentage of them prefer IB or Ogun to Lag. The obsession to live in Lagos isnt there because from an economic POV, you're spending more on things of same comparative value, especially if you are in an area with 33kva constant power supply. So, Why Lagos ?

Very few areas in Ibadan can boast of good electricity and those places are also expensive ( not as Lagos though).

Most areas in Ibadan are without electricity.

You sef no try. You dey find miniflat for 500k at Ogba. 😂 Even with 1m, what you'll get will be close to a poultry house or at best a crowded old house.

To get something decent for 500k, you will need to move to Mowe, Alagbole, Agbado, Iyana-Iba side, Akute, Ajuwon, or just kukuma go Abeokuta or Ibadan. Nothing dey Lagos again. If you've been living in your house before Tinubulation, just remain there in the name of whatever God you serve.

The cost of rent has doubled/trippled in the last 10 months. But you will never know until you make the move to get a new apartment.

We were living in bungalow + boys quarters. Total of abiit 6 rooms. Think we're were playing like 300k or so( 13 years ago).

Abuja: got a one room self con for 1.5 m
With their agent fee and all was 2 m.

But the shared kitchen(2 people) is big and beautiful sha

So someone will pay an annual rent of 2million and still be sharing kitchen? shocked

As a remote worker or digital nomad, you can be in Akure providing services for people in Canada.
