Ayobo/Cele/Lafenwa/Aiyetoro, come to any of these areas, you'll see very nice and spacious miniflats, some with dining space sef for 250k, total package of 400/450... Check for areas using Ikeja light and you're guaranteed about 15-20hrs light per day

I think many cities in Nigeria are becoming too expensive to live in.

But my question is, why is everyone blaming the agents ? Do they inflate the house rent more than what the landlords demand?.

I think the major issue is the landlords, they set the rent and an agent will only take you to a place that is set at the budget you told him.

Assuming you are talking of agent fee, that's where the agent has a say, except it works differently in Lagos cus I don't live there.

Guys, let me tell you something. I am a very inquisitive being. Not just inquisitive but highly intuitive. I can sense and foresee things right from my imaginations and they are real and happens as I see them.

Let me tell you something you don't know. Where you stay has great influence on your progress as a person. So, be mindful of where you stay. There are places you pack into and you will remain stagnant for life not until you pack out of that place.

These places are mostly associated with all those dirty ghetto places where nothing seems to be going on for the people living in that region. And all the evil people mostly stay in all those places.

Please, in everything you do, please work hard to be able to afford a good place to stay. Stay around people that things are going pretty well for and progressing in life.

Avoid all those dirty ghetto areas of face me and face you places. Most of those places are not good spiritually speaking. They will hinder you and make your life miserable.

You won't understand. But just pick something from what I just said. That is if you are looking for a house, make sure you find a better place where the people living around are at least averagely doing pretty well. If you want to progress in your life as a young man who is working hard to survive, avoid all those dilapidated and dirty ghetto areas. You sef no try. You dey find miniflat for 500k at Ogba. 😂 Even with 1m, what you'll get will be close to a poultry house or at best a crowded old house.

To get something decent for 500k, you will need to move to Mowe, Alagbole, Agbado, Iyana-Iba side, Akute, Ajuwon, or just kukuma go Abeokuta or Ibadan. Nothing dey Lagos again. If you've been living in your house before Tinubulation, just remain there in the name of whatever God you serve.

The cost of rent has doubled/trippled in the last 10 months. But you will never know until you make the move to get a new apartment.

Ogba is not a highbrow area at all, but it is relatively close to the capital, Ikeja. I live in one of Ogba’s suburbs, where rent is still cheaper than in Ogba itself. However, even here, there are no decent (modern) mini-flats available for less than 500k anymore. There are cheaper apartments, but they wouldn’t be much different from what you see in those pictures. What you see in Ogba is just a reflection of many other parts of Lagos Mainland - a mix of old, dilapidated, and modern houses, all struggling to breathe in the same environment.

Most of the other areas I mentioned border Ogun State, while the rest are simply too far from business districts. Roads are another major factor to consider.

Lol... First of all the way to the house is not where any sane human being should be using regularly. I would just turn back. Secondly see the environment as e dirty like real ghetto area. Dash me that apartment I no stay. Some places U will stay U can never progress in life. Except U have other plans and U just want to stay for short term in order to execute those plans sha otherwise avoid such places especially single ladies.
