Akeredolu's Family Unveils Mausoleum In His Honour As First Remembrance Holds by OndoFirstBorn(op): 8:21am On Dec 28, 2024
In honour of the Late former Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON, the family has unveiled a mausoleum and memorial Park at his burial site in Owo, Ondo State.

The mausoleum was unveiled in commemoration of his 1st year remembrance. The remembrance event also witnessed the launching of a book written in his honour titled 'Life and Times of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu' authored by Dr. Wale Okediran.

According to the family, the mausoleum/memorial Park is open to the general public for visitation as a way to celebrate the enduring legacy of the late governor. It is designed to serve as a place of reflection and learning about his impactful life and service to the people.

"This mausoleum is not just a memorial to be sealed like a tomb, but an open invitation to the public, offering an educational journey through the life and times of Akeredolu. Visitors can immerse themselves in his legacy, learning about his achievements and the principles that guided him." the family said

The unveiling ceremony was attended by dignitaries, including political leaders, traditional rulers, family members, friends, and admirers of the late governor.

ARAKUNRIN!

Himself and Seyi Makinde called the Bluff of that masafani oloribuku Buhari's AG and told him the SW is having AMOTEKUN and cannot stand by and look at our people being killed

A True Patriot of the Yoruba Race. Not some Cowards who because of Political expendiency could not stand up to the killers and trying to rub their back.

May his soul continue to rest in Peace!

Madam you were drunk with power and that is the main reason everybody in Ondo is avoiding you since the death of your husband.

Every governor is the chief security of his state and is entitled to have a military regalia to that regard. Just like the president. We are yet to see Tinubu in a military regalia as the chief security office of the country. Aketi had a vision to protect the west but again the hatred and tribal bashing on his wife blinded the entire west from seeing it. Now they want to take oyo through sharia. Mad people everywhere

I hope petty Betty invited the state government? I can see that the same Yoruba people she insulted are the ones she still invited to her husband's memorials. Oponu, amukunmeko

You celebrated the man without his immediate family? Wife and children? You guys are jokers. Whatever happens, they ought to reconcile themselves before the remembrance.

Someone said it's his Amotekun uniform. I think that makes sense. Yeah, chief security. I've not seen governors in army uniforms outside of Army Day celebration and the like though - much less buried in it or have it as their memorial.

Who told this huh They are only allowed to wear camouflage during military event and those camouflage doesn't come with a rank, only the president is allowed to wear any military uniform with Commander in Chief Rank.

One Yoruba man that's not blinded by tribalism. He married an Igbo woman and together they had an awesome marriage till his demise. What a wonderful way to commemorate him.
