Kog45:OK oo. You will see when push comes to shove that we cannot just rely on only a certain group of players. Our opponents might just mark out iwobi, osimhen and lookman and we will need an x factor from the bench. Matches are won from the bench with a player with a different style of play. Our opponents predict us easily. Last year with these stars we kept struggling against minnows. We shall see. Coaching.tactics is important. A player with a different style of play will confuse the opponents. If I was the coach I will have a joker no one expect to cause havoc. We are too predictable as a team. By the nations cup final ivory coast figured out our midfield as too thin and just capitalised on it. So if nwabili gets injured what is next. If iwobi and dele bashiru get injured what is next. Aribo is better as a forward but you play him in midfield. On and on. Football is played on the field and not just talking. So maduka okoye is better than nwabili. How are you sure sodiq awujoola does not have anything to offer. He playes in Egypt. Egypt has gotten to many nations cup finals and won it with players in the Egyptian league. Morocco used players from the moroccan league in their march to the world cup semi final. The guybthat assisted morocco's goal against Portugal is from themoriccan league. By logic any good player we have in such leagues may be good enough. Do you know mohammed about rita. I don't 5hink players in Europe are better than him We shall see. Is it not the same football we are watching |

Philosopher1979:I said our midfield needs more hands like Uche Christanus,Akinsanmiro and going by your post we are on the same page.....our midfield is thin and very predictable... Michael Nsien who is showing interest in coaching eagles said it all, failing to dominate midfield against smaller countries is crazy and not acceptable.I think fixing things up in the middle we help us......Nwabili cover should be in NPFL since Okoye is out injured. |

Kog45:You are picking out players who are unproven but showing potential and are just starting their careers. I would have picked out Tim lroegbunam and Chukwuemka Carney at Everton and Chelsea respectively. Both exceptional player's in the premier league but Tim restricted by injury but recovering and Carney by senior international top players ahead of him at Chelsea. What do you think ❓ |

chrisooblog:That's emotive nonsense, England was hampered by very poor team see selection and Southgate unwilling to drop his favourites. He took a left back Luke Shaw unfit recovering from injury why had no barely played all season. A lethargic and slow Kane never really substitutef and left Watkins and Toney on the bench. |

Bannedlargejr:Last season after 24 Seria A games he scored 1 goal and he has now scored 1 goal this season after 17 games. Is that star ⭐ quality to you. It's going to be difficult to get a top team 😕 I can see him going to Turkey 🦃. |

Sounds articulate and looks like he has a plan but in the words of the great philosopher Mike Tyson everyone has a plan until you get hit in the face. But in all seriousness if we're strategic I would put him in a assistant position behind a foreign manager with him eventually to take over. Just think now might be too soon due to lack of experience. Joebie: |

Stop with the obtuse commentaries oga! I said one of the reason's not the main reason plus I was talking about the 2006 WC not any of the recent England squads but your penchant for looking for hasty put downs didn't allow you see that part of my post. We're entering a new year kindly exorcise that part of your character as we cross over it's no longer amusing. komekn: |

Joebie:At this stage, there's no room for experimenting. I feel it would be a disservice to Nsien if he is even appointed. Reality is it would take a miracle for us to qualify for the WC. Dangerous for anyone trying to make his mark more especially Nigerian. |

Any foreign manager would be tubu tubu mess am at this point. I wanted Saintfeit because he has knowledge of our team and is passionate about handling SE. Looked him up, and he has a pretty good record with many teams he has handled considering they are not big teams. But Mali has since appointed him. chrisooblog: |
