From the Shadows of Stagnation to the Light of Progress: Why Kwara Needs Visionary Leadership For decades, Kwara State was synonymous with the Saraki political dynasty—a hegemonic force that shaped the state’s political and economic landscape through a system often referred to as Ile-Loke politics. This term, rooted in the political structures of Kwara’s past, reflects the centralization of decision-making and resources within a privileged elite, to the detriment of grassroots development. While the Saraki era remains a significant chapter in the state's history, it also left a legacy of stagnation, stifling progress and innovation.https://www.thecable.ng/from-shadows-of-stagnation-to-light-of-progress-why-kwara-needs-visionary-leadership/

So much energy put into an article to disparage the Saraki legacy and praise the current leadership to high heavens, all for crumbs that would drop. Sycophancy has never really taken anyone far.. I though people should be smart enough to know by now. Nigeria is a land of 'favor by connection'. Once it favors you, you generalise it and call it the best place after Eldorado.. once it doesn't favor you, you call for its division and/or annihilation.. That is what the writer above did, he simply praises the government that favored him and wants the rest of us to take it as standard. |

The saraki govt and Abdulrahman govt is what we should call two wrong things can be right. Both saraki and Abdulrahman govt are evil to kwara people. It is until ilorin indegen are prevented from becoming kwara gov before kwara state can move forward. Any town dominated by Muslims in this country are in serious problem. This is what is happening to Nigeria at d moment cos of Tinubu. A Muslim leader doesn't rule with fear of God. They don't feel for d masses. |

Funny post... Saraki brought Songia farms, till date no gov has outdone that farm Saraki brought world class jwara diagnostics center, even UITH refer patient there for test. Saraki brought an aviation school to ilorin, he upgraded the airport to international airport though I can't confirm if it still retains the status now, but No gov in Nigeria dead or alive has created an aviation flying school/acade.y in his state. Saraki brought Jay Z, Didier drogba, Morinho and other world notable celebrities to Kwara state, No gov has outpaced that feat till today... Kwara hotel was world class during sarakis days, up until recently it was closed down... The Op is out to tarnish Saraki image cos he was trending recently for achieving some feats... |
