Is it not now clear Tinubu is not GEJ, the North disrespected at will while President, Or the coward Obi the North will use as a doormat? The usual slaves of the North, who are always bystander with no plans of their own and always calling others names they are the typification of, will realize that the Yorubas are not going back to Egypt whether Tinubu gets a second term or not. We cannot have the human and material resources to be able to transform into a nation like Turkey, at the very least, to then be living like Taliban Afghanistan because of regressive 'one Nigeria' and a few backward regions disinterested in changing for the better. If not that Northern leaders are the most wicked in the world, should they oppose a bill that is very beneficial and empowering for ordinary folks, to the point of threatening PBAT, simply because they fear recieving less VAT? "More consultation" they claim. Consultation for how long? Can't they read like Dogara who asked for copies, read the bill in days and swung behind them? Why are they so lazy, beggarly and unproductive in that region for God sake? To the point of threatening a President merely pleading with them to accept change beneficial for all. Imagine Governer Zulum, I personally liked and supported preciously, claiming governors will not be able to pay salaries if tax reforms bill scales through yet many Nigerians, because they hate Tinubu, don't have the clarity of thinking to ask Zulum how many nations of the world pay salary with VAT. North love bastardize everything because they've Don't want to evolve. I challenge anyone to show proof here of a nation publicly claiming it pays her government workers with VAT collected nationally. What is allocation and IGR for in the name of God? Can't these people ever get creative and must we all be condemned to stunted growth forever because of them? Every positive they must reject. They could be very rich , like Holland, by being one of the biggest area of commercial livestock and crop farming in the universe for God sake. Regional autonomy is a must for Yorubas. We are living with backward element who are unashamedly recalcitrant and revel in being underdeveloped and living as if in 1835. When Badenoch said she has nothing in common with Northerners and that they are ethnic enemies of Yorubas, Shetimma was in his bombastic element. Yet, what is Bala Mohammed, Zulum, Ndume etal showing with their blind rejection of the tax reform bills they claim ins "anti North"? Only Dogara has come out with credit for his outspoken support of the bill. Yorubas have ideologically left Egypt. North and others should accept that. Even if Tinubu is a one term President he would have opened Yoruba eyes to what we must not continue accepting |

greatiyk4u:Shameless and illiterate creature of hate supporting a failed leader for nothing other than hatred of "the Druggie" Tinubu. Below is Bala Mohammed defence that shows he clearly has not read the bill to note it benefits the masses. Or, alternatively, he has read the bills and is only upset at the thought there will be less VAT, generated from outside the North, as free money to collect. I call you illiterate because of what is shown below. Gidado stated, “It is the height of mischief that Governor Bala Mohammed’s candid advice on the dangers of proceeding with bad decisions or policies that could worsen the plight of the masses has been taken out of contextYour pal Mohammed and yourself obviously do not realise the new bill proposes that only Nigerians earning one million naira and above will pay pax. Currently, you earn more than 300k and you pay tax. How many of the "masses" in the Northern earn more than 1 million a year? Which masses is Bala Mohammed fighting for giving that facts we know show that that tax reform bill will massively benefit the masses in the North? Your sort are the problem of Nigeria. You are supporting a leader whose gaffe shows he is "unstatesmanlike" and has nil interest in the masses he hides behind. In reality the facts show his stance is actually damaging to the wellbeing of the same masses in the North he is pretending to support. All that is happening is Good to convince fence-sitting progressive and productive Nigerians that regionalism is their only liberation. |

skywalker240:They are really sad . A disgrace to their lineage. In an age of information and easy access to knowledge they cannot even be progressive and rise above hatred of others and petty sentiments . Bala Mohammed should be condemned by all well-meaning Nigerians for rejecting what will actually benefit ordinary Northerners most. 87% of the most poverty-ridden Nigerians are from the North. What Northern masses is he fighting for in a such a region of low earners Tinubu has thrown a life line by ending income tax for all who earn less than 1 million naira a year meaning most Northerners will now not pay any tax? Whereas Buhari and co kept in place a tax regime that taxed all Northerners earning 300k and above which would have affected a decent number of Northerners. Who is against the Masses in the North between Tinubu and Northern leaders? The answer is obvious to knowledgeable and progressive people with clarity of though not damaged by blind and unobjective hatred of others. |

skywalker240:Precisely. If the North, the biggest lovers of 'one Nigeria', want others to remain in Nigeria then they better start making concession. Opposing everything positive a Southern President suggests simply speak volumes to progressive Nigerians that the North will always pull/keep them and their generations down until they actually start fighting to either secede or gain regional autonomy. It is a question of time before wholesale rebellion against Northern regression is a daily thing because of the conclusion Victor Hugo made a while back seen below. The only option is for the North to accept what is inevitable and start raising a different generations that will shape up, gain top skills/education, plus modernity that can earn them their equal keep instead of thinking all other Nigerians exist to bow to their ways and will forever. When Atiku and co schemed Wike out of PDP, in what should have been the turn of the South, they assumed they had gotten away with it. Wike warned "I will not be second class in my own nation". Deep talk considering he went to work for Tinubu and the rest is history today. Same way many more are becoming more determined daily to not be second class to Northern insistent of Nigeria must be and what others must do or not do. No greater hopeless fool other than a person in a relationship refusing to allow a partner leave rather than accept the love his gone and best to allow the fed-up partner to leave peacefully? I am happy for all the North is doing. Greed for slush funds from others has made them lose their sense to the extent they cannot see they are radicalising others irrevocably as Atiku and co did with Wike. Imagine a bog standard Governor with the redundant mindset of 100% State sustenance with funds from Abuja, and no thoughts for IGR increment to boost self-sufficiency, making noise against Tinubu who was, as Governor, the champion of States using what they have to get what they need and still remains firmly dedicated to the idea today as President. The North is in for a long thing unless they change their mindset and approach to life.

Moroccoguy:That is why Tinubu is not going out of his way to do the North's biddings. As one of the best student of Nigeria's political history, he knows such will achieve nada. Rather, even if you will only do one term, make a lasting difference that liberates and empower progressive people who wants the best for Nigeria and wishes her to be like the nations our youth are desperate to japa to rather than those who wish us to be like Mali and other nations no sensible Nigerian should be found in. To please North, GEJ announced "Nigeria not ripe for State policing". Nothing of the sort with Tinubu. He will soon focus on security reforms robustly to ensure, even if only in power for two more years, he will leave progressive people and regions better able to protect themselves to elevate Nigeria from the killing field of terror, kidnapping and heinous crime it currently is. Like skywalker240 said, Tinubu has set the precendence even if he gets one term only. He knows what he is doing. No Southern President will be an appeasenik again like GEJ. We are past that era now. A Northern President coming in to cancel Tinubu's reforms is only damaging relations with the the South irretrievably unless the region never plans to hand over power again to the south. |

skywalker240:I think Tinubu knows that too. This is why he is being brave and uncompromising focusing on doing what is best for the future of even generations unborn in hope that has set the precedence for how Southern Presidents should try to lead independently in future even if he pays the sacrifice by doing one term alone. Even Jonathan would lead differently If he ever becomes President after BAT because he literally bent over backwards for the North and that did not impress them. |
