Osinbajo does not have the balls tinubu have. He is not also as favoured as tinubu. The people destroying Nigeria are the northerners and only tinubu managed to counter them.

Osinbajo is a President Nigeria never had. He would have definitely turned Nigeria into an eldorado.

If Osinbajo had been the APC nominated candidate, the likes of Peter Obi, Kwankwaso and some few others wouldn't have bothered to contest.

Osinbajo is a likeable fellow with an undented image, corruption free and a very gentle man with a stern principle of fair judgement.

He would have encompassed Nigeria into the principle of nation building without ethnical bias.

He is loved by the Northern citizens, Eastern citizens and ofcourse, overwhelmingly love by the South West too

In an ideal Nigeria, Osibanjo or Peter Obi will be best fit for Nigeria's president. However, with the way Nigeria currently operates, a Tinubu, Obasanjo-styled personality is best suited for the country. Why? Nigeria current workings requires a warlord type (Obasanjo) personality or a cabalocrat (Tinubu).

The NW have a history of intimidating presidents not from their ethnic stocks, they control sensitive apparatchik and look down on others. Because of the way Nigeria is designed, they have influence that a truly reasonable politician will struggle to operate. However, a stubborn Obasanjo no send them and a more stubborn Tinubu no send them.

To the NW, the more you send them, the less they respect you and the less you send them, the more they respect you. Those guys no rate Osibanjo or Obi and might have even carry out a couple of anyone of them is there now. But, with Tinubu, they respect him as he can harass them to submission as well.

While that's not how it should work, this is how it presently works until the NW is thoroughly humiliated and sees themselves as other Nigerians.

Let's not deceive ourselves even if the country has be damaged for 200 years it can be rebuilt within 3 years at least critical sectors that will boost the other sectors of the economy and the good results will be visibly seen and the positive impacts felt by the masses.
The country can be run by one man's ideology but he has to have people who will work with his ideology and let's hope and believe that it's something that is ideal and not some imaginary of trial and error approach system. The man should be able to also have people who would play supervisory roles and ensure they keep him updates with realistic reports and the president should be to also ascertain those who are being truthful with him and also ensure anyone who is only interested in eating public funds and getting over fat should be prosecuted and serve prison time to the fullest.

Tinubu is not bad, his crop of ministers are just docile. Obasanjo and Jonathan remains the presidents that paraded the best of Ministers because they were not picked on the basis of political compensation. They were carefully selected and placed. 90% failure of a Sitting president stem from his appointees. Nigerians dived into fuel subsidy removal and Naira devaluation with no buffer to reduce impact till today. 70k minimum wage has been terribly eroded. Sure P under Jonathan managed by Kingsley Kuku remains the best poverty eradication program for youths.

And you lied. If Osibanjo has been the APC flag bearer the election would have been won by him with wide margin, as he will gain more grounds in SW, SS and SE than Tinubu then. Many people that went to join LP and PDP then would not have gone that route. That's just the fact. I am even sure many of the opposing parties would have because of him come to APC but he would have won the grounds Tinubu lost in those regions I listed.
