I sincerely feel for you if you're judging Osinbajo's competence on the basis of not been able to win APC primaries. Do u know how primaries are conducted at all? You obviously do not understand politics of Nigeria

Oga, in a free and fair contest, ATIKU won't beat Osinbajo.
Good points!

Let me add to it. A great number of those who voted for Peter Obi would have voted for Osinbajo.

People seem to forget that when PYO was Ag. President for 3 months, that was the only time in Buhari's administration that the country actually seemed to be working but PMB came back and retrogressed again.

Osinbajo is a combination of capacity, capability and integrity; qualities that we need in a Nigerian Leader that will cause a change towards the realization of our Nigerian dream. Unfortunately, the powers that be prefer a perennial corrupt man who would provide them a platform for the continuation of their corrupt practices. Now, we dey chop breakfast.

It is well with Nigeria.

You truly followed the trend. Many that went with Obi to LP and Atiku to PDP would have gone with Osibanjo. Many that left APC then would not have left many that was still in APC that worked against it, would not have done so.
I don't know why some people are comparing Osibanjo capacity to that of Tinubu that know but nothing. No doubt Tinubu is a political guru but when it comes to governance, he is a mediocre. All the progress he made in Lagos were the brain work of people like Osibanjo Fashola and Aregbesola. If the three are still with him, we would have felt the difference by now because Osibanjo would have been drawing out the plans for him the way he did in Lagos during Tinubu's administration. Today those Tinubu surrounds himself with are average thinkers and not genius like Osibanjo.

Please can you name that his daughter that is working in the presidency?
Instead of you to disclaim what he said, you're grandstanding or you want to tell me he is not saying the truth or you wish to claim Tinubu is more knowledgeable than Osibanjo? Come out plain instead of hiding behind one finger.
Osibanjo is an embodiment of brain, even the blind knows. His three months of holding forth for Buhari shows who he is. That was she only time Nigerians felt the impact of Buhari and the record is there because it cannot be erased by your bitter mind towards him.

Osinbajo lost his ward during election. People don’t understand that in the south, it’s only Tinubu that can wrestle power from the north. We needed that power to come to the south, else they will hold onto power and make it their property.

How did you know he is a weakling? The same man that sacked the DSS director without having a full authority with him is what you're calling a weakling. When you people doesn't like someone, you always bring in frivolity not related to a person. All the hard decisions the man took with no full authority, no serious thinking Nigerian will call Osibanjo a weakling at all, except those that doesn't like him.

Take a good look at the Donald Trump vs Kamala Harris election

Who would you classify as lightweight in that competition, who won?
Good question. You need to know that in their case, DT has been tested before. Regardless of what the media said, he had a base that defeated Hillary and battled Biden so there was a precedence. Tinubu is not as popular as they make him. As a matter of fact, he is the most unpopular President to have won the elections since 99. He had 1/3 like the second and third. Therefore, if you had Osinbajo, it was unlikely Obi would have left PDP the way he did. All of these politicians are hustlers, as they hustled for Atiku and his money is the same way they would bargain with Osinbajo to support him. Nigerians are easy to lead, just cajole them with charisma and words. That's how Jonathan won as Acting President. He was a lightweight and still beat Buhari and Atiku in 2011.

Obasanjo lost the South West in 1999 and by force, got 5/6 states im 2003. He was rejected in his base too. Buhari had been winning his base but had no national spread until he merged CPC with ACN and co. Tinubu lost Lagos in 2023. Buhari lost Abuja in 2019.

People forget that ACN once fielded Fola Adeola and Ribadu for President. They were not heavyweights. Fashola was a good administrator and Lagos progressed because the political broker supported him. When the political brokers wanted to do an ambode on him in 2007, people had already seen what good governance was. Everything is not power, sometimes it's better to play behind the scenes for the ultimate progress of all.

You people should stop this nonsense word. Was Tinubu not lose his own polling unit to LP during presidential election? Again you're making reference to 2019 election and not 2023. In 2023 he moved his polling unit to Ogun State and that was where he voted and APC won there.

You guys should stop spreading fake news about. APC won his ward hands down.
Many people that left APC would not have left APC because of him. Those that won the presidential election for Tinubu were the Northern governors and not Tinubu himself. If the northern governors had been indifferent, Tinubu would have lost the election. Give the results he got to El-Rufai that was on top of the election of Tinubu that time. The man used all his arsenal to rally round the northerners for him, especially the clerics in the north.
Go and mark this down, Tinubu won't have the number of votes he got in the north in 2027. Bookmark this.

Please who want the country to burn? If there is anyone that want the country to burn, is your like that is telling lie and thinking in a democracy there will not be differing opinions.
I asked you to name that his daughter that is working in the presidency but you went rigmaroling. Name that her daughter and shame the devil.
It's you people that wish to turn the country to one party system that always think speaking out one mind has turned to going against the country. What a myopic mind. Having different opinion in a democratic setting doesn't amount to burning the country and the country won't burn if that is your wish.
If the opposition is acting the same way APC acted when they were in opposition, the country would have burnt the way you want, except you were small when they were in opposition.
Ojudu has spoken his mind and what he said is just the gospel truth. No one in his right sense would ever compare Osibanjo with Tinubu in terms is capacity and capability. No one, except die hard supporters that don't see beyond their noses.

Nigeria economy was dead but it was the same Buhari that paid for the revamping of the refineries that are working today that you e-supporters are celebrating. Just as I always ask, how much did Tinubu invested in revamping the refineries? Can you let us know.
This is what you people have been saying but later go celebrating all the projects and investments the same man pumped money into.
The three months that Osibanjo held forth in the absence of Buhari shows who the man is. That was she only time Nigerians felt the impact of Buhari's government, as he made some decisive moves that changed the government then. Well, you may be asleep then, so I cannot fault you.

In an ideal Nigeria, Osibanjo or Peter Obi will be best fit for Nigeria's president. However, with the way Nigeria currently operates, a Tinubu, Obasanjo-styled personality is best suited for the country. Why? Nigeria current workings requires a warlord type (Obasanjo) personality or a cabalocrat (Tinubu).

The NW have a history of intimidating presidents not from their ethnic stocks, they control sensitive apparatchik and look down on others. Because of the way Nigeria is designed, they have influence that a truly reasonable politician will struggle to operate. However, a stubborn Obasanjo no send them and a more stubborn Tinubu no send them.

To the NW, the more you send them, the less they respect you and the less you send them, the more they respect you. Those guys no rate Osibanjo or Obi and might have even carry out a couple of anyone of them is there now. But, with Tinubu, they respect him as he can harass them to submission as well.

While that's not how it should work, this is how it presently works until the NW is thoroughly humiliated and sees themselves as other Nigerians.
This your rabbling I just hope it works out because it seems you don't know what worked out during the last presidential election. If you know all this rubbish you vomited wouldn't have come out from your mouth.
Tinubu winning the last presidential election wasn't by his making but the making of the APC northern governors. If the northern governors had worked against him that would have stopped his ambition to becoming the president.
Let me ask you, who in the north west do you think can be the backbone of Tinubu if the election come calling tomorrow, if it devoid of rigging? Is it Matawelle? A man that has never won an election in his life, that the mistake of APC gave him opportunity. Or is it Ganduje, who Kwakwansiyya had incapacitated in Kano State? Since 2019 his wings had been clipped and his final fair bid would be conducted in 2027. I looked around and I could not find one bigwig Tinubu can use in that north west you're maligning and making jest of them.
Mr. Man, it won't be an easy nut to crack for Tinubu in 2027 with what is on ground now. The northerners don't talk they only go to the polls to exercise their franchise and vent their anger, unlike the southerners to talk and talk till the person you're angry with get to know.
It better you people stop aggravating the northern anger that is my kind advise because 2027 presidential election wouldn't be easy for Tinubu. Bookmark this comment.

You're not listening! How do you mitigate corruption without proper consequences and enforcement? I audit risk for a living so can you tell me about these magical mitigation tactics of yours that would work without congressional ammendments to the Constitution? We have preventative control(Policies, laws, audits) which stops corruption before it starts, we have detective which detects it (EFCC, ICPC) and corrective which is the consequence part (Electric chair, hanging, jail, fines).

Nigeria's problem has never been lack of laws but enforcement and you can't enforce something without setting examples. EFCC and other enforcement agencies should be indpendent and have their own budget and tools. Judiciary should be indpendent as well,

Furthermore, the Asian countries you mentioned implemented one of the strongest mitigation tactics the world has ever seen, even Western countries are jealous of their system. A country as stubborn and unpatriotic as Nigeria needs something similar, any other thing na BLAH BLAH BLAH!

It's good you said our issue is not the laws but about implementation....

You also talked about institutions being independent...
Now, it's no hidden thing that the NPF which is also one of the enforcement agencies also collects bail of which they always tell us in the police station that bail is free and even lawyers who are supposed to kick against such also aid on such !!!!!
Looking at the nature of Nigeria and the kind of people we are, how do you make supposed independent institutions become truly independent when the personalities don't have the intent of doing the right thing?
Who is ready to change this kind of mindset in government agencies because the man at the top might want to do it right but the subordinates will thwart his efforts and it also happens vice versa....
