With all due respect, saying the reforms affects only the poor is the highest level of idiocy.

You can still edit that part of your comment.
The idiocy you publicly portray by typing this rubbish. Your statement is on you.

How does it compare between the poor that doesn't have the next meal and the rich that will still transfer the tax burden on their businesses to majority of the poor.

By NBS and UN data over 85% of Nigerians are multi dimensionally poor. So how do the dumb reforms affect the rich in comparison to the poor who cannot transfer the burden to anyone else

You idiots come to social media to type nonsense and think everyone is on same elementary level as you that only think about the next election

No need of arguing in a new year with an idiot who thinks a government' s policies are selective enough to punish the poor and leave out the rich as if the sun and the rain. selects who to favour.

Criticism with sentiment saddled amidst injurious bile is nothing but the hallmark of an. unrepentant idiot. To even imagine quoting NBS to justify stupidity is appalling.

Na new year be dis abeg.

Watch how ipob and obedients will invade this thread with so much wailing and insult.
The Award is uncalled for. Tinubu doesn't deserve it.

The Award is glorifying corruption and sleaze. We know the antecedents of Tinubu and his Khakistrotic administration.

Ojy is a quintessential role model. Can't be compared to your APC Media controlled presenters.

Tell me any one from your Tinubu Media Team.

What are the lessons?

Recall that during the 2022 to 2023 presidential campaigns, Arise News and ThisDay used every opportunity to attack Tinubu.

Ms Ojynika Ojy Ope brought every Tinubu's gaffe to amplify on her gossip segment of their morning show. Rufai Oseni said all sorts and asked Tinubu to bring himself to their studios so he (Rufai Oseni) could cross-examine him. Tundun Abiola abused people who spoke for Tinubu. Abati sometimes got carried away and joined the fray. Even their proprietor wrote a scathing release where he specifically said that Nigeria must avoid a "Noriega moment", in reference to Tinubu's unproven drug dealings. That press release was in bad taste that the duo of Dele Alake and Bayo Onanuga took the owner of Arise News to the cleaners over his unethical business practices. The owner of Arise News even tried to control public opinion by insisting Tinubu must be interviewed by them or other media house.

We must remember that the media house gave positive press coverage to PDP, Atiku, LP, Peter Obi and Godwin Emefiele as the latter contributed his quota to bury tye Nigerian economy.

They even lied that APC Presidential Campaigns had asked ThisDay/Arise Media Group to remove Rufai Oseni from the Morning Show and Shaka Momodu as ThisDay Editor in favour of patronage should Tinubu win.

After the heat from Bayo Onanuga and Dele Alake, Newspaper Proprietors Association of Nigeria had to intervene to reach a settlement as the owner of ThisDay/Arise found himself in hot water.

The morning after the results were declared, Rufai Oseni exhibited a sad and forlorn look as he could not conceal his pain.

Following Tinubu's victory, they brought all sorts of human beings to their media station to discredit the elections and discuss a matter in a court. When all that failed and the handwriting on the wall was clear, their boss started making moves to ingratiate himself to the leaders of the day. For example, he invited himself to attend a Nigeria-Saudi Investment Forum to catch the eye of the president.

Only recently, they tried to discredit the coastal highway by jumping from one issue to another without questioning someone for allocating public land to himself.

What has changed from the antagonistic media group to bromancing the president?

What are the lessons:

1. Put your eye on the ball and believe in what you do and do what you are convinced in. Had Tinubu allowed himself to be misled to the biased media group, they'd have messed him up.

2. Many organizations take editorial decisions to favour the business interests of their owners. Do not be deceived that they are giving a voice to you or your feelings. They are doing what is politically expedient at that time.

3. I think it is unethical for a media house to dish out awards. A media is a business, but how can they be objective in coverage when they give awards to people they ought to report?

4. How come Channels TV, TVC, NTA, VOA et al do not give awards to people?

5. It is clearly a battle of business survival which makes this award in bad taste, unethical and unacceptable.

Let's look into the future:

1. Atiku and Obi would condemn ThisDay/Arise for giving Tinubu the award.

2. Tinubu should thank them and reject it.

3. I am ashamed of Tinubu's enemies eating their words. Why can't they stand by what they claimed to have believed?
When I saw that "Man of the year" award from this day and I saw the same people criticising him or his policies also speaking for him, I knew they're doing the business. Funny enough, Rufai was not in the show that morning - they will force him to speak glowingly of the president and he might contradict himself in another show, so he took a break from the show.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that the award came from them.

Like what's happening to Fox when Trump won - their candidate won and their share jumped. It's business.

Just like Ruben Abati will never stop being a tribalistic bigot.. Typical of his Yoruba lifestyle.. Will never fail to disappoint people when Igbo matters are being raised or in promoting the Yoruba stock in trade which is falsehood

Na new year but unfortunately stupidity doesn't have new year resolutions. It's eternally ingrained.
