Many years aback, my mother use to make a statement, "Move away from poor people, and mingle more with your level'', i use to find that statement to be rather classist, but i can tell you that she was right. Yes inequality and poverty is rife in our society, but there is a limit to what you can do to help people's situation.

The year 2024 has been a blessed one for me business wise, as i got to invest more of what i earned in my business but the call for help, please help me send, can you lend me request can be overwhelming.

As a hyper independent person it is sad to say that i haven't even gotten a gift from people i have helped touched their life in one way other. Even people who borrowed with the promise to pay back haven't fulfilled their commitment.

I am blessed to have a bit of financial success which i hope to last long and outlive my generation, i can't inconvineince myself to beck on everybody's call. At every point i must look at how i put myself first. So this 2025 i plead with all netizens to put themself first and discard any freeloader that may be a threat to your finances.

Jesus said a man's life doesn't consist of the abundance of things he possess. Would have been better if you had
said stay away from friends with poor mindset not poor friends. The people you are calling poor may be well versed and know something you don't and that puts them at an advantage against you with your money.
I've spoken to a man who I thought was poor. He was poor actually due to circumstances. But he narrated to me with evidence his adventures in 14 different countries including some of his foreign baby mamas. He didn't look like someone that has crossed seme border before. But here I was with a man who's been to countries I could only dream of.
Poverty is a mind thing not a money thing.

Don't give shishi - stay away from people who will drain you financially and later go on to ask "all the money he has been getting, what has he been using it for?"

I focus more on the heart of people than their class.
Their mindset is what's more important than their wealth status; as anyone could become rich or poor.
Whatever one is or has, is a privilege from God; as, no human has power to control all the factors that made them successful.

You couldn't have said it any better. I have never asked anyone for financial assistance outside my family. Yet that doesn't mean I should run away from friends that ask for financial assistance. Everything we have in this life is a privilege from God. People's mindset is the real deal in friendship. I have decided to cut off someone who is way richer than me due to his bad attitude

Your emphasis should be on staying away from people with poor mindset and bad attitude and not on one's financial status. There are rich friends with terrible attitude that can bring you down. A friend of mine who has long been established, started getting jealous when I began to make small money. I had to cut him off from my life

I see people who stay away from poor people as weak and cowards. As a man you should be able to stand your ground on all situations whether positive or negative
