I Might Not Be Bold Enough To Take Such Decision If I Was The President - Kalu by TimeManager(op): 3:32pm On Jan 03, 2025
Former Abia State governor, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has insisted that President Bola Tinubu is aware of the hunger in the country and was taking bold decisions to reverse it.

He made the disclosure at Ekoli, Edda Local Government Area of Ebonyi during a New Year visit to his ‘political son’ Chief Stanley Okoro-Emegha, who is the state’s All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman.

The Senator said Tinubu is working hard to reverse the situation and urged Nigerians to be patient with him.

“Nigerians are hungry, the president knows they are hungry but he is working because the decision he is taking today is a decision that goes with economic development.

“It might be very hard that he is taking those decisions, they are very hard decisions.

“The president is very bold to take such hard decisions.

“I might not be bold enough to take such decisions if I was the president as he is telling Nigerians that we should start afresh.”

Kalu noted that he was personally sad over the situation but urged Nigerians to show understanding. “We would soon see the light at the end of the tunnel.”

He commended Governor Francis Nwifuru for his performance and endorsement of Emegha for second tenure as the state APC chairman.
“I am very happy with Ebony governor, in fact, I am planning to go and see him and also carry these Chinese investors to him. I cannot stop thanking the governor,” Kalu said.

Kalu remarked that his visit to Okoro-Emegha was an annual one, stressing that it fosters the relationship with his political son.

“I promised Okoro-Emegha that as long as God gives us life, I will always pay this new year visit.”
Emegha thanked Kalu for the visit , noting that the bond between them will continue waxing strong. He was an aide to Kalu when he was the Abia Governor between 1999—2007.

And this is Kalu that is far bolder than Peter Obi. Imagine how Obi is gonna be shaking in sweaty pants on the seat but only a Jagaban can be this bold & fearless.

Our neigbours & brothers from the East, come & see Kalu.

I am asking my brothers from the East, if they know Kanu as their kin. I am not sure this man enjoy popular support from the East.

But one thing is sure, when batists one day push the propaganda & deceit that nobody among our neigbours from the East supported Tinubu, this show from Kanu about Tinubu should be remembered

Orji Kalu is only bold in looting. Oga, rest! Nobody asked for your needless opinion.

BTW, after taking those harsh steps, Nigerians are hungry and Tinubu is still borrowing billions of dollars he has no plans to repay.

Clowns. Justifying nonsense.

Why did BAT protest against the removal of subsidy in 2012 since that was the right decision?

Why did BAT protest against pms at N145 after subsidy removal in 2012 but is proud today that pms sells at N1000?

Why did BAT say the exchange rate of N217:$1 in 2014 was too high but is proud of the rate at N1600:$1 today?

Why did BAT promise to bring down the exchange rate to N300:$1 but his sycophants now want Nigerians to believe N1600 is a 'good' rate?

BAT has never had the interest of Nigeria at heart, but his own selfish agenda.

Imagine him romancing chaugory, abacha's bagman and confidante. That just shows that even his nadeco agitations was all smoke and mirrors.

Normal, you need some major balls to even do 1/10 of what Jagaban did.

Kalu won’t be able to summon such courage because he is from a politically minority Ibo tribe.

Obi will be far worse, if ordinary person threaten am, he will go up to 10 tv stations crying and begging them that he will reverse his decision.

When Labour union run am street the first 15 days of subsidy removal, obi will cry his eyes out from the shege wey him eyes go don see.

The presented candidates will similarly make the same decisions made by Mr. Present particularly regarding subsidy removal.

The country was literarily bankrupted by Bubu....

I believe there will be nothing different from other candidates with d present political system and practice that we currently run

Why did Obi and Ibo people not protest against susidy removal when Jonathan removed it?

If you did not protest against Jonathan then, why are you angry Tinubu removed it?

Can you spot the hypocrisy from you guys too?

Sadly, Nigerians suffer from Amnesia. They have completely forgotten how BAT campaigned tirelessly against subsidy removal during a period when the Nigerian economy could have better absorbed the negative effects of its removal.

I have always said that the country is finished not because of corruption, but because of the low IQ/stupidity of the masses. Corrupt politicians only take advantage of this stupidity.

True.
Honestly, most politicians and most Nigerians lack the courage to make the kinds of decisions that Tinubu has taken

Most people want to be loved and admired, politicians want to win the next election so badly that they are blinded by their ambitions and are always afraid to make thought decisions.
Tinubu has taken tough decisions that he didn't have to take, he could have just continued like all other Nigerian leaders and kept doing the same old shit that has gotten the country to nowhere.
But this man has made decisions that are not popular but good for the country. It's like your Doctor telling you take take you bitter medicine that will make you better in the long run but bitter when taken.
