It's not easy for women to even say they were rape victims. I salute this one for coming out in public to confess... if she was actually raped ....and I do believe she will not shelter her son if he is a rapist. My problem with her is why say all this and not share any details about her experiences? ... is she sheltering her rapists? ...one would expect her to be naming names .... giving her age and maybe circumstances of at least the first time she was raped ...but nothing at all? ... did the host even follow up?.... or just sat there and accept everything as if she were interviewing Jesus? That part of her being raped five times might be true or false. Either way, it's a traumatic experience to go through for anyone and should be taken seriously The part of her dad dying at 40 after disowning her for her choice of spouse is incredulous though. It might seem as if her father was against underage marriage which she seemed to insist on. If her father died at 40 and she was of marriageable age before then, that implies her father had her at less than 12 years. How's that possible? 5 Likes 1 Share |

wittydee:I agree. However this admission must be caveated as she seems to be wearing it as some kind of "look at poor, weak me" badge of honour. She is now influential, why can't she report it to the authorities or name names? Why is such an important thing part of a wider interview? Why can she not furnish others with advise as to how to avoid such? Rape victims that are snatched off the streets or corners at home by subhuman monsters mostly under the cove of darkness, brutalised and forced into doing stuff against their will won't come out like this. Even in saner climes, where they have government and NGO trauma recovery support, they will only come out to speak in order to help stop same happening to others or catch the perpetrator.
