Go to America or London and build a beach resort on government land and see how fast you're shut down and thrown in jail.

That Paul guy is lucky he is not in a clime where laws are stringently enforced, or else by now, he would be cooling his heels in a cell, eating beans 1-0-1.

Neo-black Problem: Must Blacks Be Ruled by Whites in Order to Prosper?

In short, the neo-black dilemma may be framed as follows: is it better to live under white rule without political dignity but with basic life-sustaining standards for many;

or to live under black rule with illusory political dignity and without basic life- sustaining standards for the majority?
\

The path forward for Africa lies in cultivating higher and adequate levels of personal and communal agential integrity as well as full personal responsibility and productivity. Not to mention creativity (including epistemic creativity), productive justice (such as merit and freedom), harmony and reconciliation at local and international levels, and a proper domestication of capitalism and other related values and institutions.

Africa must stop wasting her time on dreams of socialism because it is a system of wealth distribution primarily. Whereas, capitalism is a system of wealth creation primarily, and wealth has to be produced before it can be distributed.

It's pure stupidity I don't know how someone believe he can corner bar beach as his own property? No matter how long the Federal government will surely take over the beach front. The Landmark guy is just crying wolf. You can never claim ownership of a beach in the class of Atlantic ocean. For the fact that some family are claiming beach area of Lagoons and lakes doesn't mean that the real owner (FG) can't take it over at any time they deemed fit.

You still have your property but not access to the beach and you are crying wolf. The earlier he move forward the better. Else he should be made to face the music of contraventions.

He can only fool most of the Obidients zombies who carry the news last year on their coconut head. If you know landmark beach, then you will know that not spectacular is there. Everything there is not worth 5b naira. Wetin he build. Go and see better and costly properties that was destroyed. Another beach owns by a Yoruba and it is even more beautiful was completely destroyed along that axis. Igbos thrive in propaganda. They always overbloat things that are ordinary. Someone will just built hotel that small boys for Benin dey build, they will refer the person as a billionaire. Make dem go Benin and see what Edo guys are using money to do. Currently they will buy land for more than 200m to 500m before building and nobody dey call dem billionaires. Igbos make noise too much. Pride wan kill them. The type of rubbish that T-Pain has been vomiting for Lagosians since 1999, with his magical master plan for making the people's IGR and other revenues disappear instead of employing government workers to do what Jakande did for just four years?

Four years before that undisciplined soldier overthrew our democratic institutions and locked Jakande up for corruption.

eluquenson:
REVISITING SOME OF THE LATEEF JAKANDE'S GOVERNMENT ACHIEVEMENTS FROM OCTOBER 1979 TO DECEMBER 1983 (FOUR YEARS AND 3 MONTHS) IN LAGOS STATE

* His government built the current Lagos State Secretariat which houses all the state ministries as well as the popular round house hitherto occupied by all subsequent governors of the state.

* His government built the Lagos State House of Assembly complex.

* His government built the Lagos State Television

* His government built the Lagos Radio

* His government built Lagos State University

* His government established General Hospital in zones all over the state with assurance of free health care.

* His government established Teacher Training College and the College of Education.

* His government built low cost houses in Ijaiye, Dolphin, Oke-Afa, Ije, Abesan, Iponri, Ipaja, Abule Nla, Epe, Amuwo-Odofin, Anikantamo, Surulere, Iba, Ikorodu, Badagry, Isheri/Olowu, Orisigun etc.

* His government established the Water Management Board and Waste Disposal Board on the 18th of August, 1980.

* His government constructed the Adiyan Water Works to increase water supply in the state to 18.16 million litres per day.

* His government modernized and expanded the Iju Water Works which was first commissioned in 1915. This increased daily capacity from 159 million to 204 million litres per day.

* His government purchased and commissioned the giant car crusher equipment. The equipment was designed specifically to crush derelict vehicles in Lagos State. It had the capacity to crush 45 vehicles per day.

* His government constructed, rehabilitated and resurfaced Epe/Ijebu-Ode Road, Oba Akran Avenue, Toyin Street, Town Planning Way, Alimosho-Idimu-Egbe Road, Idimu-Iba-LASU Road, the new secretariat road and several others.

* His government constructed Victoria Island/Epe Road and thereby creating an ‘oil rig’ for Lagos State.

* His government established Asphalt Plant for the Department of Public Works.

* His government established Electricity Board for Rural Electrification with provision of street lights.

* His government modernized, expanded and commissioned Onikan Stadium in 1982.

* His government established a singular school system and ensured genuine free education in Lagos State and the beneficiaries of this policy are in different positions of eminence in the country and around the world.

* His government raised the primary schools in Lagos State to 812 with 533,001 pupils (against 605 primary schools with 434,545 pupils he met in 1979) and secondary schools to 223 with 167,629 students (against 105 schools with 107,835 students in 1979).

* His government constructed 11, 729 classrooms with the maximum of 40 children per class between March and August 1980, by 1983, he had constructed over 22,000 classrooms.

* In July 1983, two commercial passenger boats christened "Baba Kekere and Itafaji" to run the Mile 2 - Marina (CMS) route via the lagoons were inaugurated by his government to mark the official launch of the Lagos State ferry services.

* His government took over the ownership and financing of Lagos State Printing Corporation in July 1980

* His government established the first State Traffic Management Authority (Road Marshals).

* His government established small scale Industries Credit Scheme which preceded the EKO bank.

*His government established LASACO Insurance.

*His government expanded existing market and built new ones.

*His government established Traditional Medicine Board.

WHO SAYS 4 YEARS IN OFFICE IS NOT ENOUGH FOR MEANINGFUL ACHIEVEMENTS?

IT'S A FACT THAT 90% OF GOVERNORS IN NIGERIA SINCE 1999 WITH REVENUES AT THEIR DISPOSAL CANNOT BOAST OF A QUARTER OF THESE ACHIEVEMENTS EVEN WITHIN THEIR EIGHT YEARS IN OFFICE.

Bitter and frustrated soul. I know you've not eaten for the past 3 days hence your frustration. But don't lash out to people who didn't contribute to your frustration, instead blame your father for spending his productive years in the beer palor instead of giving you a sound foundation so you don't suffer in the future. Go and lash out on your father, mumu man.

Government owned property which was annexed of which he has no titled document (marked green) was cleared by government (the owner) who wanted to make use of its own land. Yet he is still crying foul. No be you get beach. Why your wahala na? Even if you build billions of investment on another person's land, that land is still not yours. When the owner wants it back, he/she will come for it.

Yeah I went to landmark one month ago. It’s a shame what happened to that place. By annexing that beach access the place was turned to a mall and not even a well architectured mall. People stopped going and the shops are empty, everyone looked depressed and I was battling many flies in the KFC there. The place is dead. Place looks wretched. Has a DEAD vibe. Such a shame but that’s Lagos for you. It will chew you up and spit you out and collect all your money. Lagos is like that bottomless pit of money collection . Where is all this money disappearing into ?
