ChrisKels:Maybe NFF cant maintain payment of Roger Schmidt and since he has no experience of African football that may be why they went for someone who understands the African system well |

We asked for a foreign coach and these administrators got us a Malian as a foreign coach Why not recall the Nigerian coach doing well in America that applied with finidi This NFF is run by jokers with all due respect We are certainly not going to World Cup |

i think i have to believe in this new coach…i just went to watch his team that beat south africa 2-0 at the afcon…the attack was so direct meehn…but i wonder why couldn’t beat Namibia and Tunisia playing out a 0-0 draw with them…meeting burkina faso at round 16 and also playing fast direct attack. the quarterfinals loss again CIV still shock me though, cos they played CIV like mad…that ivorian team was on a fairy tale afcon run. coming from almost getting eliminated and from behind to beat senegal, mali and Nigeria showed CIV was destined to win the afcon. I just pray he clicked to a good start…we dont need any slow start in his tenure from the world cup qualifiers |

yemyke001:Does anyone knownif he can speak English? I no wan hear about communication barrier. Anyways, he has a chance with the CHAN Eagles, let's see what he cooks up. If he fails with the CHAN Eagles, not about winning but if that team plays nonsense, don't be surprised if AE handles our remaining games. |

Franktom247:Michael Nsien's resume can't be compared with Chelle. Am not saying Chelle is a good coach o. I think he's actually a diasporean Malian like Kanoute, born to a French father and Malian mother. Finidi caused all this, the guy did not ooze out any confidence at all, with just a few games, everything fell apart. I have to admit that Amuneke couldn't have failed woefully like Finidi did. |

I can say the last Afcon was the first football competition I followed all the matches bumper. I actually bought a Startime on the day of the opening ceremony. I saw Eric chelle. I like him. Like someone said they use 2 fast and strong strikers upfront... Infact na as dem remove the two striker at 80 something minute na him wahala start against CIV.. I was impressed with him and his entertaining Malian team. He is young too. Maybe na this kain foreigner we fit afford. |

I think Chelle will be fine with the eagles.. I like how he set up his Malian team, very compact and goes for an intense pressing style. I pray he brings that urgency and comapactness to our play. |

We keep using our national team to beef up the CVs of lower grade coaches. Looks like we don’t understand how big our football brand as a nation is. We’ve produced two APOTYs in a row and still we just dash the national team to just any coach for as long he doesn’t carry the green passport. Phew |

solonnachi:The man is a Malian ex international, however it's what he possess inside will determine his prestige here. But let's not just talk about whether he will be able to command respect or not, it's whether he will be able to deliver results, either world cup ticket or AFCON trophy. Anything apart from AFCON trophy or WC ticket,NFF will have many questions to answer . All the best to Chelle, but this appointment should not be defended. |

knowing our penchant for hiring 3rd grade foreign coaches, I always said Saintfeit was the best option. A coach with knowledge our players who have always wanted the job. Mali got him.. we goofed. I hope the Chelle rumor won't come to reality Philosopher1979: |
