100% spot on

minks:
No matter how well you're doing in Nigeria, please japa if you have the means.
All it takes is one bad government policy to ruin you.

Why imagine such nonsense when you can work to pay school fees instead and in a few years quadruple your earnings? Have you checked how much Nigerians in UK that you think have nothing left over after paying bills, sent home to their families in Nigeria just last year?

Stupid people invest in bills (which really is mostly the useless stuff they put in their mouth), while smart people invest in feeding their brains and mind instead so they can reduce their working hours and enjoy their life more.
Omo shut up there!!! Easier said than done. Na people like una go quietly japa but na una like to dey give people rotten advice.

When you are lazy while at Nigeria then japa might not favour you but in as much you are agile and hardworking in Nigeria, believe me you are already a millionaire when you get to UK, in UK the more or hard work you do ,the more your wages but in Nigeria, the more or hard work you do, the lesser you earn.
In Nigeria atimes, lazy people earn than hardworking person but in UK if you are lazy, you are on fire already

I think the people you mention above are working hard to better their lives, while many are just too lazy to hustle for their's.
Shut up!!! What is the minimum wage in Nigeria? How long do you think a man would work before he builds a three bedroom bungalow. Ofeke.

If u get money for naija, naija too sweet especially if u dey south west with less security issue

Just have 1 or 2 functioning hotels or a farm with over 200 cows n u will know many are flexing

I don see things, if u get money u go too enjoy
Ofeke. It's better to live peacefully in Canada than to stay in a region where they cut off people's heads for human ritual.

Who gives a damn whether you travel or not? We don't even want your type abroad. Remain in your region where they kill for money ritual.

Is not about having money.

In the west, nobody knows wedar you are rich or poor because everyone gets the same adequate social amenities if you pay your bills regularly.

In nigeria, being the richest amongst thousands of poor people only put your life in more danger. Innovations and stability cannot go well in a nation with poor lifes because its the private individuals that set up the workplace life of citizens in a developed country.

Your country is a poor under-developed place with poor jobless niggas littering the streets. With your large money, you will still be affected with bad situations one way or the other!

Someone who is earning 4 million naira a month in Nigeria (3000 usd) is richer than someone earning 10,000 Cad a month in Ontario, Canada.

With your 4 million, you are earning almost 50 million a year. A nice duplex in Enugu can be as cheap as 100 million. Your 2 years salary can get you a duplex.
A duplex in Canada is about 1 million cad. Your 120k cad a year will need to be saved for about 9 years to get you the same duplex.

Then there is the issue of community. You have a social life in Nigeria. It comes easy. In Canada, you have to make extra effort to have what resembles a social life.

Most successful Nigerians lived abroad for a while and came back. Think on it if you are a big person in Nigeria currently. The grass is not greener on the other side

Sometimes I wonder how Nigerians talk
How many kidnap cases happened in Ekiti?

Do you know thousands of people pass through Ekiti daily without any issues.

The South West is the most peaceful region in Nigeria.

Check out the Crime rate in some states in the US then compare.

Lo, you saw that one, i saw too.

I think i recall this.

She talks about how times have changed and how it is hard to save money to even buy a house its almost impossible, and She is not doing the Job that uses her qualification. From her Job at the hotel although it saves for house rent, it not going to help prepare for retirement. She is currently thinking of leaving the country when she can to relocate to a country in Asia

And many commenters agreed with her, that they saw the red flag years ago.

People render unsolicited pieces of advice every now and then. Allow those who want to leave to go in peace. There is no point discouraging them.

I also noticed how people are making reference to people earning 4 million naira monthly in Nigeria. Imagine that. People who mostly leave the country for good or have the hope of living are people who barely have enough for themselves and family. Let them leave in peace.

Yall don't get it..it's not about just doing well,it's about LIFE and SURVIVAL, insecurity and medical emergencies..if you mistakenly fall ill in this Nija Omoh it takes grace of God for you to get good medical attention so even if you are making 10m in a month what happens when you suddenly get sick?before them board you for flight go hospital you fit kpie for air if na emergency because you cant get good medical attention here.

Wotoporiously cool speaking

If I want relocate from Nigeria shey na place like the UK I go come go abi say I no get sense, relocating is different from just travelling, people japa for different reasons best known to em, I believe if person wan go somewhere make them do their research about that place if at all that place go fit the reason of them going there, if you know you ain't gonna find what you looking for in that country then why even bother thinking about it, na the mistake most people dey make, every country get their ups and down and they also get wetin every individual dey find, na you Bleep up if you go country wey you no go fit really excel for your career choice or way of life.

It's just like comparing the UK to the US in terms of football, any aspiring footballer with a real intention to become a well known star wouldn't dare boycott the UK for the US except you just wan play for money or fun, that's just an example I'm giving so you can understand what I'm saying.

If I dey see people dey come online dey cry say wey dem dey no favour them I go dey ask myself say wetin carry you go there in the first place, abi you nor do your research before travelling.

My conclusion is, most people that complain when in another environment actually didn't do their research or don't know what they even went there for in the first place that's why they find it difficult to excel there, meanwhile I understand that there are other mysterious factors that can determine a persons success or failure in a certain environment but even with that if you had a purpose in the first place, trust and believe me, that purpose will come to light one day.

Lastly for people wey dey say don't leave Nigeria, is the country any better? Even your A-list celebs and fellow politicians with all their money go still prefer abroad to Nigeria, all them kids are there. So wtf!!

A total of 1,702 murders, 2,149 kidnappings, and 320 robbery cases were recorded by the Nigeria Police Force across the country in 2023.

However the United States of America recorded well over 16,000 murder cases.

Which country is truly safe ?
