Good evening fam. Compliments of the season. Please i need your views and opinions regarding what's going on in my life. This week has been terrible, even at some point i thought of ending it all. Am 30 years now, a two time school dropout, very broke , no tangible achievement in my life. I have done alot of hustles with the hope and expectation that everything w change but things are getting more worse. Am currently confused, even while the desire to go back to school is still burning within me, am equally thinking about learning a skill or thinking about job hunting. For many years, I can't ever appear to my family just because of the shame, no certificate to show, financially stability zero, infact am depressed.

I do not agree that your "desire to go back to school is still burning within me", because if it were burning withing you you'd have gone back to school already.

And you are "thinking about learning a skill or thinking about job hunting" instead of actually learning a skill or job hunting.

You were 20 once and are 30 now, and will be 40 soon, so stop thinking and go do.

P.s. I know it's not easy, but you'd be posting the same thing when you are 50 if you don't get off your ass and put the effort in now.

Yes, actually he will take stone to school because I will not sponsor him and if he truly desires that education, he better start with stones now. Though a better option is he learn a skill and use money he earns to pay for his schooling if he would.

How old are you, by the way? Since you brought it up.

What is d possibility of going to school for someone who doesn't know where his next meal will come from n he doesn't have sponsor?

I do not need to ask such a silly question since I never knew where my next meal would come from and had no sponsor and still got an education.

Point is he's 30 now, and has no education nor skill nor job, so what do you think it will be like for him when he is 50 if he does not make the necessary sacrifices now?

u would have given him feasible advice like working n saving for anything

Right now learning a skill or going to school is not feasible cos he needs money every day

He has money everyday already, or his thread would not be about his future, which it is, but about what he would eat now, which it isn't.

Regardless, I have given him the advice I want to give him, and he is under no obligation to take it. Please give him your advice so he has more options. Thanks.

I'm so sorry to hear that you're going through a tough time. It takes a lot of courage to share your struggles, and I appreciate your trust.

Firstly, please know that you're not alone. Many people face similar challenges, and it's okay to feel overwhelmed. It's essential to acknowledge that your feelings are valid and that it's okay to ask for help.

Here are some thoughts that might help:

1. You are more than your current situation: Your worth and identity extend beyond your financial stability, educational background, or career achievements. You are a unique individual with strengths, talents, and experiences that are valuable.
2. It's never too late to start anew: Whether it's going back to school, learning a new skill, or job hunting, you can start exploring new opportunities. It might be scary, but it's a chance to rediscover yourself and your passions.
3. Depression is treatable: It's essential to acknowledge that depression is a serious condition that requires professional help. Consider reaching out to a mental health professional or a trusted adult for support.
4. Your family might be more understanding than you think: It's possible that your family is worried about you and wants to support you. Consider having an open and honest conversation with them about your struggles.
5. Celebrate small wins: Instead of focusing on the big picture, try celebrating small achievements. This could be as simple as completing a task, learning something new, or having a good conversation with someone.

Some actionable steps you could take:

1. Reach out to a mental health professional: They can help you develop coping strategies and provide support.
2. Explore local resources: Look into community centers, libraries, or online platforms that offer free or low-cost resources for education, skill-building, and job hunting.
3. Connect with others: Join online forums, social media groups such JOBZONENG on telegram or local meetups to connect with people who might be going through similar experiences.
4. Take small steps towards your goals: Break down your goals into smaller, manageable tasks. This will help you build momentum and confidence.

Remember, you are not alone, and there is hope for a better future. Keep in mind that it's okay to take things one step at a time, and don't hesitate to reach out for support when you need it.

What do you think might be the first step you could take towards feeling more positive and in control?
