Joebie:Let me quote from the article He (Chelle) is a young coach, his record is blank at the moment but he's an ambitious coach See what the nff has offered us but because of tiki taka we all should swallow it like that and shut up or be called racist. Trash |

Goke7:Alonso's record was blank before Kusen gamble on Him, The great Pep was not of the world class before Barca promote Him, Herve Renard has nothing to do with RECORD prior to 2012. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Goke7: 11:43am On Jan 11, 2025 |
Tessyy1701:We can't continue to make excuses to justify this nonsense just because we must appoint a coach. It's a disservice to our experienced indigenous coaches and if that is the case then let's pick an indigenous coach with a blank record. The idea of going foreign is because you think your indigenous coaches lacks something so why go for a foreign coach with a blank record. That's hypocrisy |

Goke7:With the kind of football he played at the last afcon, I'd take the risk with him. Alex Ferguson was an experienced coach, small boy "pep" beat am like thief. |

I will be lying if I say I'm enamored with Chelle's appointment as SE coach. That said I mentioned before and I still maintain that the players are the major ones to step up and show character. If they can't be motivated to beat the likes of Rwanda, Zimbabwe, and Lesotho (with due respect to them) then even hiring Ancelotti won't do the trick. You're fully justified in your skepticism of this appointment and it will be left to Chelle and the players to win you over. For now all we can do is give the new coach our full support until he proves (hopefully not) not to be up to par. Goke7: |

kentebemoney:Then we should have continued with Finidi and take risk cos we saw some beautiful football too |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Tessyy1701: 12:02pm On Jan 11, 2025 |
Goke7:Nobody is making excuse for anybody abeg.... We were all here when Finidi was given the chance, many were sceptical and he later prove them right and some of us who are glad to have him, he proved us wrong that he is not yet there. Sir Equeavon came in and after the Rwanda game - the chorus of he is not good enough, due to his substition this and tactis that was loud for everybody in the room to hear. Our brother with US U19 team hasnt gone proffesional and you like many other will criticise a white man if appointed in that position. SiaOne (Our special one) is just coming back from suspension and due to the corruption thingy many wont want him. We are only left with Pep's classmate and I believe He will get His time. The foreign coach that we might be looking we cant afford them and thats our reality |

Goke7:Excuses? Nonsense? Experienced indigenous coaches? Blank record Chelle has a better Afcon record than your blank record indigenous coaches. But pray tell, which blank record local coach will you pick? Let's see if you won't make excuses to justify the nonsense |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by opes: 12:13pm On Jan 11, 2025 |
Goke7:No disrespect to our indigenous coaches, but Head to head, his record is better than any of them, at least for now. I didnt expect his appointment but as super Eagles fan, I need to support him |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Odunayaw(m): 12:19pm On Jan 11, 2025 |
Tessyy1701:Goke knows all this na. But I trust he has some indigenous coaches we are not privy to. So he will tell us. Finidi's stint pained me mehn. The justification then was "he won the league with Enyimba" "he knows the team" "he has a clean record". We saw how it turned out. As far as we are not going for a Grade A experienced hire we will keep having differing opinions with "excuses and nonsense". Let no one gaslight anybody |

Tessyy1701:We are just deceiving ourselves we know we couldn't afford a foreign coach, then why don't we continue with Eguavoen as interim coach or do what we did years ago when Eguavoen led a consortium of local coaches and we ended up with an afcon bronze. The nff just fooled us for months claiming they were shopping for a coach only to end up with a coach they want to experiment with. At this stage of our football haba this is ridiculous and we are now using all manner of examples to justify this gamble. No wahala make we continue |

Tom Saintfiet that Joebie for example, wants. Is it not a blank record? Pedro Goncalves? Whom I like. Is it not a blank record? Is it not the same QF at Afcon? |

Goke7:which kind continue with Finidi. Eric Chellea first two matches as coach of Mali (Mali 4-0 Congo) (S/Sudan 1-3 Mali) Finidi first two matches June 2024 (Nig 2-1 Gha) June 2024(Nig 0-2 Mali) which one gives hope to stick faith with? |

Goke7:Guy, this is becoming irritating. Eric Chelle is your new coach. Deal with it like a man. All this your moaning will not change anything. |

atalanta interested in Timo Anjorin Let us get Timo Amjorin now before it is too late. Let us try and cap him this year. He does not even have to be in the main team yet. If he goes to bigger clubs England may cap him and that will be the end. We need more midfielders and there is nothing like too much of a good thing. Players get injured, loose form, face disciplinary issues etc. We need players from foreign born, local leagues, north african league, top 5 european leagues everywhere let us get him now. England are not paying any attention to him now |
