This is the reason I am very careful with the teachings flying around from many minister's of the gospel. This message will discourage many poor genuinely born again Christian's in the church. So, being rich described someone's holiness in christian journey and poverty means someone is a sinner. A person will be involved in corruption to be rich and he will disguised and portrayed positive attitudes to God's service n you call him holy. Chai!

Rubbish. All this prosperity gospel is the reason we are in problem today. Get rich quick by any means. God's will is not the same for everybody. Have a personal relationship with God and submit to his will. His promise is eternal life not earthly wealth. That's just an add-on

This is one of the most pathetic stories in the Bible: a Prophet of God who died broke and left debt for the family to pay; and the creditor threatened to take his two sons as slaves to pay for a debt they did not owe.

There is absolutely nothing concerning poverty you won't hear from poor people. Pastors who made "chicken change" from tithe will always lay extremely strong emphasis on poverty. Was it not Fatoyinbo Biodun that made a similar statement yesterday? When you come from a poor background and you entered gospel yahoo, why won't you keep saying rubbish?

So, when the rat in the Church was a poor rat and people would associate poverty with the Church so much that the phrase “as poor as a Church rat", there was no crime??
Slave trade/human trafficking by Africans was as a result of Prosperity Gospel??
Organ Harvesting, ritual killings etc only started happening when the Church began to prosper??

Be there... don't go and seek God's face to enjoy a rain of Divine Ideas and Favour to be prosperous. The agents of the devil are waiting to mess up your daughters, wife and marriage because you have accepted that poverty is okay for you.

I'm confident God will reward every pastor Las Las but can't we have a Godly body to protect gullible followers from misleading information. That's why all of us are bearing the brunt of the ripple effect

Poverty is not a definitive sign of ungodliness, nor is wealth an assured indication of righteousness. Both the godly and ungodly may experience riches or poverty. True reward for the godly is ultimately in the hereafter, not necessarily on earth.

when pastors were struggling their favorite line was money is the root of all evils and that it’s easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man. Now they worship money and whoever has money. So money is the most important thing now in Christianity. Pastors will spit on you if you’re poor

Poverty isn't something to wish anybody. No body wants to be poor but circumstances of life can result to poverty.

However, let no man confuse anyone that sin is the cause of poverty. I disagree.

Poverty is just an unfortunate development that is not defined or caused by sin.
