Thank you most high, that we are here today, glory to Jesus, without whom, i am nothing. I thank your Spirit for Kindness, and patience, Lord God, you have done it all. And now let your name be glorified and your word come to pass. Remember us O God and turn to us with kindness and favor. Amen.

Shine on us, we dont need the sun, we need your light.

Whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father . . . Matthew 10:33

What is idolatry? Idolatry is anything that comes between us and God. Joshua told his people that their nation would be destroyed if they persisted in idolatry, and their souls would suffer eternal death. He said, “You must make your decision today. You must decide whether you want to serve the idols of this life, or the living God.” “Choose you this day,” said Joshua, “as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” What about you? Are you taking your stand with Joshua? No matter what the cost? I am asking you to choose this day whom you will serve. Our families cannot choose Christ for us. Our friends cannot do it. God is a great God, but even God can’t make the decision for us. He can help, but only we can decide. We have to make our own choice.

PRAYER
Lord Jesus Christ, take away the idols in my life so that, completely undivided, I may serve You, my Savior.

Idolatory is what is practiced in Pentecostal churches where they replace God with their Daddy GO and Pastors.

And how is Jesus coming between you and God not idolatory? Or does the definition apply only for other religions?

They were people called Jesus then but none of them was the son of God. The Roman empire invented Jesus Christ son of God to mock the Jews after the Romans conquered the Jews who were waiting for God to send a Messiah to come and defeat the Roman empire from the Holly land of Israel.

They invented Jesus Christ after 70 AD to try and stop Jewish revolts. Flavius Josephus was 16 in 37 AD and did not know of Jesus followers when 3000 were added to the Christian faith on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:41). Following this, Acts 2:47 states: "And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved." but here is an account from Flavius Josephus mentioned in his autobiography, "The Life of Josephus", that when he was 16 years old, he explored different Jewish sects in an effort to understand them and decide which one to follow. At the time, there were three major sects within Judaism:

Pharisees: Known for their strict interpretation and adherence to Jewish law and oral traditions.
Sadducees: A priestly, aristocratic group that rejected oral traditions and focused solely on the written Torah, often associated with Temple worship.
Essenes: A more ascetic and separatist sect that emphasized communal living, piety, and withdrawal from mainstream society.

This is why the invented Jesus Christ did not also direct his anger towards the Roman soldiers superiors who came and invaded his homeland, like he always did to his own people even the innocent tree he did not forgive:

In front of the Romans your Jesus is very gentle and remembers to forgive but in front of his own people he forgets about forgiveness:
Matthew 23:13: "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people's faces."
Matthew 23:33: "You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?"
John 8:44: "You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires."
Matthew 11:20-24: "Then Jesus began to denounce the towns in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent."
Luke 19:41-44: "The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you... They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you."

Even the tree that had not sinned, he could not forgive:
Matthew 21:18-19: "Early in the morning, as Jesus was on his way back to the city, he was hungry. Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, 'May you never bear fruit again!' Immediately the tree withered."

Nothing can take the place of God in one's life..as long as deep down in your heart you acknowledge him wat else but men av tried to Broaden the scope for their selfish reasons like missing church or alway being preoccupied with other things that isn't in their favour...as long as you move on the surface of the earth and continue appreciating his works where is the idol..many as a being isn't self sufficient so how can an insufficient being have an idol.

Jesus was not minor but was very popular then:

1. Crowds Following Jesus for Healing and Teaching
Matthew 4:23-25:
"News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill... Large crowds from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and the region across the Jordan followed him."

Mark 1:28:
"News about him spread quickly over the whole region of Galilee."

Luke 5:15:
"Yet the news about him spread all the more, so that crowds of people came to hear him and to be healed of their sicknesses."

2. Feeding of the 5,000
John 6:2:
"A great crowd of people followed him because they saw the signs he had performed by healing the sick."

Mark 6:33-34:
"Many who saw them leaving recognized them and ran on foot from all the towns and got there ahead of them. When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them..."

3. Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem
Matthew 21:8-9:
"A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, 'Hosanna to the Son of David!' 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!'"

Luke 19:37-38:
"When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen."

4. Sermon on the Mount
Matthew 5:1-2:
"Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, and he began to teach them."
5. Jesus' Popularity After Miracles
Matthew 9:8:
"When the crowd saw this, they were filled with awe; and they praised God, who had given such authority to man."

Luke 4:37:
"And the news about him spread throughout the surrounding area."

Mark 2:1-2:
"A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home. They gathered in such large numbers that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and he preached the word to them."

6. Palm Sunday
John 12:12-13:
"The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem. They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, 'Hosanna!' 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!'"
7. Popularity with the Samaritans
John 4:39-42:
"Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony... So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days. And because of his words many more became believers."

Even pastor worship is idolatory.

Bowing down for a statue

Wondering where the Catholics got their inspirations from

While in the pentecostal churches, some pastors have became a statue which their members bow to. One was even saying he won't attend his members wedding should they wed outside his church. They have turned themselves to demi god
Num 21:8-9 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a standard; and it shall come about, that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, he will live." (9) And Moses made a bronze serpent and set it on the standard; and it came about, that if a serpent bit any man, when he looked to the bronze serpent, he lived.

You have to keep in mind that this passage is referred to in John Ch. 3: v14 and 15. Jesus quotes this passage as a picture of Himself.

Joh 3:14-15 "As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; (15) so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life.
