@Gadgetking this is an issue of funds identification, most likely your e-account number was not captured.
To resolve this, send your evidence of payment to customer care, you can also follow up with a call. Going forward any deposit you make and it goes beyond 24hrs to reflect in your account, and it's not weekend, kindly send evidence of payment.

For me, I don't use third party when it comes to mutual funds since I can open account directly with the fund manager.
Please I'm not saying Cowrywise is not legit.

Thank you.
alright thanks

Someone said above opay has transaction description issues. Probably your e account number didn't reflect in the description. You need to email & call support to fix it.

MMF rates is not fixed because is daily valued, This is how MMF works globally and more so because it's not tenor based so investors get their returns based on when they entered and exited the fund.

Some reasons why I will Prefer MMF to Tbills

You can start mmf with much lower amount compared to tbills. With 5,000 you can start investing in Stabbic mmf. The least for tbills is 100k.

When rate increases, it will not affect already invested funds in tbills but it does with mmf

You can't top up with tbills. Top up is very possible with mmf even if you want daily top up.

Terminating before tenor expiration in tbills comes with penalties. For mmf after just 30 days, exit is without penalties.

mmf has other instruments like commercial papers that contributes to its rate.

You can easily automate reinvestment of interest in mmf ie taking advantage of the power of compound interest.

It's the investor that determines mmf tenor hence you can hold mmf as long as you wish no restrictions, tbills particularly primary auction has fixed tenors 3 months, 6 months or 1 year.

Right now mmf rates is on the rise.

However, that is not to say Tbills is a bad investment. The one you pick MMF or TBills actually depends on the reason for investing among other factors which most times are peculiar to the investor.

Also a drop in rates affects already invested funds on mmf?

Your money is safe, no matter how long you keep your money in MMF. The truth is that many investors uses MMF as personal pension. I know clients who have been in MMF for more than 10 years and still running. Some clients that started from the inception of stanbic MMF are still there.

As already emphasised here, MMF remains a low risk investment any were in the world.
If you want to go along with stanbic MMF, click the first link on my signature to complete the online form.
Pick tier3 when you get to that point on the form.

You can also reach me through the number on my signature.

All government regulated investment rates are per annum which is then prorated based on the particular investment. For MMF, it's prorated to daily earnings and accrued. The best you can do is to pick interest reinvestment and then withdraw the amount from your balance every month.
There is no MMF that gives interest per month.

How investors put MMF to work

It's no longer a mystery that MMF is a low-risk investment and it's the easiest and best form of investment for conservatives and risk-averse investors.

MMF serves different purposes for designing investors. Here are some of them:

Emergency funds. As the name implies, many investors instead of just keeping their cash for emergencies in the regular MDBs prefer to invest it in high-interest MMF since it's pretty easy to get part or all your money when the need arises

Personal pension. The fact that there are some protocols one has to pass through and the amount that is available to a retiree from the regular employer-employee contributory pension, MMF is used by many as a personal pension scheme, in this case, you get your money instantly at retirement and that at your own terms.

Target savings. Most people may not have the required funds for a particular project at a particular time but from business or work, they could save to accomplish a project or any goal. MMF is used for such target savings like school fees, rent, real estate purchases, gifts for a special person in our lives, even for detty December or for vacations while enjoying high interest.

Savings account. Some investors use MMF as a regular savings account. They just draw funds for weekly spending at the beginning of the week and any amount left in the MMF enjoys high rate, no deduction, and fees like the regular bank account is known for.

Joint Investment portfolio for the family. The fact that MMF can be run as a joint account makes it suitable for family investment where spouses keep funds together for future spending or project

Kiddies account. Many investors use MMF as a way of keeping money for their kids and allowing them to take over when they turn 18. It's also used for training children and wards on imbibing investment culture.

Next time you hear about MMF understand it's great investment moves that can help serve you at different times and for different purposes.

Stanbic MMF: 20.98%

Norrenberger MMF: 22.26%

SFS fixed income fund: 19.01%

Yes, you can have joint account with Stanbic or Norrenberger, basically all MMF allows joint and corporate accounts.

However, you will need the account opening form not online for the joint or coporate registration.

But they pay out interest every 3 months? That's every quarter right?

No. The products are in naira.

Interest accrued daily and will be paid/reinvested every three months depending on your option.

The norrenberger dollar fund is 10.02% and currently one of the highest if not the highest in the industry

Find attached the account opening form.

Hi everyone, please what is the interest rate for Stanbic money market fund for example if you keep
100k without withdrawing, how much will the monthly interest be ?
Re: Mutual Funds by enque(f): 2:00pm On Jan 15, 2025
This is not fixed per se, as the rates can change on a daily basis depending on different factors.
The rate as at this minute is 21.10%, and if it remains constant for a month and you put in 100k, you'd be getting approx 1,758.33 as monthly interest

In addition, the rate is per annum, it's only prorated to daily.

Main while inflation rate is now 34.80% as rerleased today by the NBS. The implication is that MMF rates will remain up.
