I like the passion and belief. Looks like a guy that will not give excuses like "we are a young team' etc. the likes of Rohr, Peseiro had a "humble" approach. This is a breath of fresh air and we want to see it on Matchday one. elyte89: |

Truidstarr:He's a logical and reasonable person now. He made his initial comments based on some hard facts and data and there's nothing wrong for him to make a different opinion based on new facts and data. Knowledge is progressive and à logical mind should be flexible to change rather than holding on to à certain belief or ideology because of "I must not change mouth". On a different note, I won't be surprised if Ojediran in Lens gets à look-in. Also based on his antécédents of benching Bissouma, Ndidi should watch his back. I foresee Onyedika and Onyeka having huge rôles to play under him. Based on the press conférence, looks like he likes workhorses. |

Mujtahida: ![]() Na Victor Moses I mention dribble not Victor Boniface. U no just want Victor Boniface at all because of his very low output and his nonchalant approach, he will come good eventually just like Aina. But he is skillful. And he on the list not based on the skills displayed while super eagles colour alone but also on his club side mostly. |

zicky:Ironically, I never saw Ikedia as a headless running footballer. He is one of my best players to ever play for Nigeria. He rejected the U17 and headed straight to the U20. In the U20 world cup in Nigeria, he was one of the best players of the tournament. He walked from the U20 straight into the Super Eagles. Even in the Super Eagles, Ikedia was the go to guy a lot of times when we were building attack. I wonder how I can get Nigeria vs Ireland, 2nd round of Nigeria 99, World Youth Championship. That game will make any doubter understand how good Pius Ikedia was. |

Napoleon55:Powerful speech I must say. I almost ordered jersey and boots to go to the street to train. On a serious note, Eric Chelle sounds like someone who can inspire the players to do better. He also sounds very ambitious and I am glad he believes in how well we can perform. My support is in. |

Some things we should know about our new coach, Eric Chelle. 1. He is very strict and demands discipline from all players. He has no room for big boys. 2. His philosophy and tactics rules his actions. Any player that does not fit in, no matter the level of the player will be cut off. 3. His system demands a lot of running. If you can't run and keep up stamina, sorry. 4. He hates interference with his work and is a kind of man that will not allow it. 5. We can expect new players to break into the team because if he sees anyone that suits his strategy, the person has a chance to break into the team. |

From the speech, I like that Eric Chelle sees the work as a rebuilding phase. I hope the NFF understands that too. We are going to have a switch in philosophy, luckily, Eguavoen got us attacking. This will make the transition smoother. What we expect from Eric Chelle is result-oriented growth. What most important is continuous improvement in our play. Finally, I hope his scouting game is tight because we need massive competition in our team if we are to become a side that can compete with the big boys of Europe. |
