Chidera Ejike is definitely among the top 20 if not the top 10,I totally forgot,I should replace Friday Ekpo with him.

Apart from Segun Odegbami, Sam Okwaraji,Tarila Okoronwanta and Henry Nwosu,
I watched the rest of the players,
Tijani Babangida, Victor Moses and Wilson Oruma are definitely better dribblers than some of the players but I don't think they can replace the names on the list based on skills.

So which four names do you think should be replaced with Odegbami, Okwaraji,Okoronwanta and Nwosu?
Odegbami replaces Ikedia
Okwaraji replaces Chidi Odia
Okorowanta replaces Okoronkwo
Nwosu replaces Ogbuke

Chidera Ejuke and Boniface have no place on that list. How many caps has Ejuke and Boniface to the point of being in any list at all. Boniface? Dribble? Which match? Abeg ooo. Remove him name sharperly. He's not in any way worthy of mention as far as Super Eagles is concerned.
Why are you not saying same for Tarila Okoronwanta who Boniface already has more caps than

Which amateur skills?

Yahaha at the U-20 and U-17 world cup was displaying skills only the elite players could execute.
Yahaya is by far more skillful than Mikel,Nwakali, Haruna Lukman and Stanley Okoro combined.

Yahaya successfully performed a rabona assist against Brazil, only the elite skillful players can attempt that kind of technique on a serious match.
None of these players u were mentioning can do that,or try a famous Zidan turn with multiple stepovers follow up in cup finals match, those were defining moments that stood him out ahead of others skills wise.

Mikel is a very technical player,
Nwakali, just like Mikel is midfield controller ,
Haruna and Stanley Okoro are dribblers.
All these players have their unique talent, but not close to Yahaya when u talk about skills.
It's just a hard luck that affected his career.
Uncle abeg goan watch 2005 u20 tournament or the last confederations Cup Nigeria participated, then come back and tell me one amateur rabona make yahaya more skillful than Mikel, nwakali, Haruna lookman and Stanley okoro combine. Fallacy
Yahaya is not even close to nsofor or Solomon Okoronkwo

I like the passion and belief. Looks like a guy that will not give excuses like "we are a young team' etc. the likes of Rohr, Peseiro had a "humble" approach. This is a breath of fresh air and we want to see it on Matchday one.

He's a logical and reasonable person now. He made his initial comments based on some hard facts and data and there's nothing wrong for him to make a different opinion based on new facts and data.

Knowledge is progressive and à logical mind should be flexible to change rather than holding on to à certain belief or ideology because of "I must not change mouth".

On a different note, I won't be surprised if Ojediran in Lens gets à look-in. Also based on his antécédents of benching Bissouma, Ndidi should watch his back. I foresee Onyedika and Onyeka having huge rôles to play under him. Based on the press conférence, looks like he likes workhorses.

grin grin grin

Na Victor Moses I mention dribble not Victor Boniface.
U no just want Victor Boniface at all because of his very low output and his nonchalant approach,
he will come good eventually just like Aina.
But he is skillful.
And he on the list not based on the skills displayed while super eagles colour alone but also on his club side mostly.

Ironically, I never saw Ikedia as a headless running footballer. He is one of my best players to ever play for Nigeria. He rejected the U17 and headed straight to the U20. In the U20 world cup in Nigeria, he was one of the best players of the tournament. He walked from the U20 straight into the Super Eagles.

Even in the Super Eagles, Ikedia was the go to guy a lot of times when we were building attack.

I wonder how I can get Nigeria vs Ireland, 2nd round of Nigeria 99, World Youth Championship.

That game will make any doubter understand how good Pius Ikedia was.

Eric Chelle speaks English fluently but still has the deep french accent. But, speaks English well.

Powerful speech I must say. I almost ordered jersey and boots to go to the street to train. On a serious note, Eric Chelle sounds like someone who can inspire the players to do better.

He also sounds very ambitious and I am glad he believes in how well we can perform.

My support is in.

Some things we should know about our new coach, Eric Chelle.

1. He is very strict and demands discipline from all players. He has no room for big boys.

2. His philosophy and tactics rules his actions. Any player that does not fit in, no matter the level of the player will be cut off.

3. His system demands a lot of running. If you can't run and keep up stamina, sorry.

4. He hates interference with his work and is a kind of man that will not allow it.

5. We can expect new players to break into the team because if he sees anyone that suits his strategy, the person has a chance to break into the team.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 6:07pm On Jan 13, 2025
From the speech, I like that Eric Chelle sees the work as a rebuilding phase. I hope the NFF understands that too.

We are going to have a switch in philosophy, luckily, Eguavoen got us attacking. This will make the transition smoother.

What we expect from Eric Chelle is result-oriented growth. What most important is continuous improvement in our play.

Finally, I hope his scouting game is tight because we need massive competition in our team if we are to become a side that can compete with the big boys of Europe.
