Letsmove:I don't have Schengen, Canada or UK visa. Besides Brazilian offers more opportunities for the parents to get a second passport within a short period of time. How possible can I have my wedding in Brazil? |

Ronke04:I got to the Brazilian embassy website and I will start getting the documents ready. I will need to travel to Lagos if need be, thank you for the information and I wish you the best in your visa application. |

Brazil and Mexico are very similar in my opinion.i suggested that because the Brazilian embassy would frustrate you. Technically they will delay your application until it's no more teneable if you are pregnant. YungLasaint: |

Letsmove:But Mexico doesn't grant the parent PR. I don't even know how long the whole process will take. |

YungLasaint:Hello YungLasaint. It's great news you'd like to give yourself and your family this wonderful gift! Please, don't hesitate to start your application NOW as a lot of people complain about the long wait time. As someone earlier suggested, you can consider Mexico as an option...when your baby is born on Mexican soil, he/she is given birthright citizenship and you are immediately eligible for PR (meaning, you can apply as soon as you get that birth certificate, which is almost immediately) - this applies to grandparents too. As it is in Brazil as well, to be eligible for citizenship, some other criteria have to be met (like, duration of stay, learning language and history and all that) but you the parents (and grandparents, if they wish) can be eligible in as short as two years. I think the main difference between birthing in Brazil and/or Mexico is the cost. As you should know, Brazilian public healthcare is free but Mexican isn't. If this is something you're really set on, I suggest you go all through this thread, and make some research online to get better informed before you make a choice. I wish you and your family the absolute best! |

YungLasaint:Actually you are wrong. If your woman can manage to have a child in Mexico you can get pr and eventually get the citizenship in 2 years. Mexicans are eligible for the TN visa and can work in the USA with that. IMHO if I was in your own position I will chase both visa processes together. Use a Schengen or uk visa to enter Mexico and give birth and also be doing the Brazilian visa too. |

Oh, I didn't research on Mexico, but hearing about Brazil and going through this thread I did further research on the cost abd standard of living. Brazil stood out for me but it won't hurt to try both route and see which one will work out at the end. Thank you for your detailed explanation. I'm grateful. Btw, happy new year belovedmimz: |

Hello guys, happy new year. I’m new here and have been reading through the previous post but please I need assistance because I noticed a lot has changed. Firstly, I’ll like to have my baby in Brazil and I’m a month plus gone. Can someone guide me with the process please! Also, I had my first baby in USA and was supposed to have my second also in USA but was returned at POE because of trump strict rule then. (Mind you I paid all my bills and had zero balance when I had my first baby but I was unfortunate to me a racist who swore she’d make sure I return back to my country then) anyway I’m saying this here so you guys can advise me better. Please what’s the best way to approach the application process 🙏 can someone who has birthed her baby guide me please🙏 the site, document and all the necessary information needed. Also, I read Mexico is another option to explore even though Brazil is my first option. Kindly advise me if it’s better to get the Schengen visa first before starting the Brazilian since one can enter Mexico with a Schengen visa. Your responses are anticipated. Thank you in advance 🙏 |

Hi, I had my baby in Mexico in 2022, when it was difficult to get a USA visa date and the Mexico embassy was not issuing visas. The first thing I learned was the numerous visas that allow an individual to visit Mexico, and I applied for a France visa. So, to any confused parent, if you are running against time, please consider Mexico. |

beautyuche:Thank you for your comment. Would you say it's easier for the parents to get citizenship in Mexico than Brazil after giving birth? Do you know anyone (parents) who has gotten citizenship with this route? We don't plan to do this just for the unborn child but for ourselves too. |
| Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by oluomoadebayo: 9:53am On Jan 07, 2025 |
Both are very similar. Manutd19: |

YungLasaint:Why didnt you proceed with the STUDENT route ...do you mind if i send you a DM. |
| Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by YungLasaint(m): 11:42pm On Jan 10, 2025 |
Hedgefunds:Do you think student route is the best option? |
| Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by belovedmimz: 6:09pm On Jan 11, 2025 |
YungLasaint:There are several reasons and circumstances surrounding why one would want to relocate...I think this is what informs the desired route. Time Finances Desired outcome No. of people ...these are all factors, and many more. |

ovi4real:On a student visa? He can. |
| Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by ovi4real(f): 11:32am On Jan 13, 2025 |
belovedmimz:Expantiate please? Meaning once she gets her visa her family goes immediately with her or she gets there first and invites family later? I am interested in this because am also currently pregnant, 3 months gone, dont know if i should try the tourism or medical visa, as for the school... I think their resumption is middle of the year and my EDD is july. |
| Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by belovedmimz: 2:51pm On Jan 13, 2025 |
ovi4real:The person with the visa will go first and apply for dependents to come join him/her. Obviously, the person will have to prove he/she can support them financially and otherwise. |
