A soul is a living creature not dead one so without the body the soul is dead!

I keep saying, you must be talking of a different Jehovah NOT Jehovah of OT. Go back and read your Bible and come and say this with a straight face. Do you know Saul lost his Kingship because he saw no sense in killing ALL already defeated people and refused to do it? Do you know the heart of Pharoah was hardened so there'd be some killings. That tells you hearts could also have been softened so there'd have been no wars!

Note that John wasn't speaking to any of the characters in those conditions rather he was speaking with God, Jesus and an angel.

You will hear of wars and reports of wars

According to the Greek word, it indicates something happening around you and something happening from far.
The wars and reports of wars evidently describes warring events happening that one might witness. The rumors or reports of wars is about wars or warrring events or speculations in a distant land that make it seem there is a war or war is going to happen

But in biblical times there were also "rumors of wars" due to how info was, which is no longer the case today!
