TheGoodJoe:E:urope have to put their people first, it is not marginalization for them to put their people first.. African coaches and players should come back home and open football clubs and academies... the African coaches are not as rich as the players so the coaches should not be the ones with the responsibility of building academies.. let African coaches and players and wealthy Africans work together and build academies and football clubs and use their knowledge to create jobs in the sports industry in African countries. |

chrisooblog:It pains me to see Shola Ameobi being listed as an ex Nigerian international. One of the major reasons I wanted Keshi out then. |

codemaniacs:Sharp and precise. You have posted well and I fully agree with your concept. I hope with time we see more of our African stars focus on building our football industries with their experience. It must not be do big. |

zicky:That does not change the fact that Osaze was playing against instructions of the coaching crew. |

ChrisKels:O! Boy, cold is holding me. Is it you that typed this? ![]() I don't think it is foolishness reflecting on past mistakes. It does not rub on Eric Chelle. I think most here, including me, are wholeheartedly backing him to win. I think I even gave Mali props during the AFCON and their loss was heartbreaking to me. Eric Chelle succeeding will give most here joy. Doesn't mean they should tie down one or two grievances in their hearts. Keep in mind, we are here to share and contradict opinions. Don't clamp down on people sharing their opinions with negative words. (Advise, not force) cc: elyte89 |

TheGoodJoe:Oga no dey quote me out of context. The foolish take I was referring to is "Amunike was sidelined for being Igbo". I'm Igbo myself, and I will reiterate, that was a very foolish take. |

ChrisKels:Let me still rephrase myself again. At this point in our history with the NFF, I believe we are with a ring of people that are not patriotic or detribalized in their judgment. I believe, Amunike's ethnicity played a part in so many rejections from the NFF chamber. I also used his open sabotages he dealt as the reason to back my belief. It was too harsh and consistent. Giving Finidi the job over him was still the continuous sabotage he has dealt with when it concerns the NFF. To chip in, Oliseh didn't understand the challenges Keshi was dealing with and thought it was all smooth. When he got in and saw how bad things were, he had to scream out and leave. Keep in mind, Oliseh was also sabotaged. His CHAN team was a crazy one. Oliseh was spending thousands of dollars of his personal money to feed the team. Peterside Idah said he flew to South Africa, paid the CHAN team a visit in camp and Oliseh begged him for money to feed the players. However, Amunike's own was long and severe. I believe some bad eggs in the NFF are tribalistic. |

| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Goke7: 1:46pm On Jan 15, 2025 |
codemaniacs:that's subjective as many blacks now carry European or other Western nations' passports or were even born there so you referring to considering their people first surely has a different meaning |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by codemaniacs: 1:51pm On Jan 15, 2025 |
Goke7:been born in Wes:tern nations' or carrying Wes:tern nations' passports does not make the person ethnicity to become European or scot or english or welsh or german or italian e.t.c.. it is not subjective.. ethnicity is very important.. |

codemaniacs:but the same ethnicity is not important when they want them as players to win laurels |

Is it true Westham wants Awoniyi? It wouldbbe great for him to work under Graham Potter if true. Though I doubt Forrest would let him go. They are really ambitious about a top 4 finish and the stars seem to be aligning for them. A solid bench is necessary for a top 4 finish. |

TheGoodJoe:It has nothing to do with tribalism and if it had anything to do with tribalism then there's always a way around it as long as it relates to finances... Oliseh and Amunike are both from the oil rich and gas rich regions of Nigeria.. if they issues with funding the team they could have reached out to their state governments or wealthy individuals interested in sports or football for support.. In America, the NCAA is funded through corporate sponsorships, ticket sales e.t.c.. Oliseh and Amunike could have gotten corporate sponsorships... but majority of Nigerians believe the government agencies must do everything when the same government agencies have repeatedly shown that they do not care |

Goke7:when they eventually win the laurels they don't attribute to the black players... when Osimh:en scored and assisted consistently for Napoli which led to them winning Serie A how did Napoli and the ital:ian media treat him ? |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by zicky(m): 2:15pm On Jan 15, 2025 |
Kog45:Yea Keshi remains the best when it comes to achievements with the national team but doesn't change the fact some of the players selected for that world cup were fraud. Ike Uche never had any disciplinary record until that Afcon, his of was criticizing his coach tactics not like he was attacking Keshi personally but his tactics, what wrong with that. That's why in Nigeria when someone criticised reforms of a government we see it as attack on the president. We are all like our leaders. |

Kog45:But Osaze the talkative and instigator still went to the world cup but ike Uche didn't. In all these, Osaze is still one player that gives his all for the country, one of my favourite Nigeria player. |

codemaniacs:Funny. It is the National team. You can't have coaches leaving camp and running around looking for money to sponsor the National team. Haba. |

codemaniacs:yes na, shebi even some folks here were blasting Osihmen for his behaviour and some of us here were constantly explaining reasons and how terrible the club was but No some believed it was Osihmen at fault. It's all use and dump and never wanting to share the spotlight, is the reason why it will be difficult for many black coaches to emerge in Europe. |

Kog45:Sir, Keshi own too much how do you defend selecting Amoebi, uchebo(Mr flavor), nwafor, Ruben, Gambo(confederations Cup) How? 🙄 |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by codemaniacs: 2:24pm On Jan 15, 2025 |
TheGoodJoe:the coach does not have to do anything or at most make phone calls. Super Eagles have a media department, marketing department, logistics department anyone from these departments could have been assigned the job by the coach. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 2:24pm On Jan 15, 2025 |
zicky:As Sylvanus Okpala put it. If Liverpool had signed Uche, would he insist for the Liverpool coaching crew that he wants to play the way Villarreal used him? It was pure indiscipline. |

codemaniacs:Not true. That is the job of the NFF administrative team and not the coach. The coach has specific duties. Let us not take Siasia's resourcefulness as a norm. |
