Domestic violence remains a significant issue in Nigeria, with numerous tragic cases where husbands have killed their wives.

Nigerian men are noted for lack of emotional control and a prone to jealousy when their wives are successful.

Below is a list of these animals killing the innocent Nigerian women.

1. Peter Nwachukwu: In April 2022, Nigerian gospel singer Osinachi Nwachukwu died, allegedly due to domestic violence inflicted by her husband, Peter Nwachukwu, who was arrested in connection with her death.


2. David Ochola: In October 2016, in Hennepin, Minnesota, USA, David Ochola shot and killed his 28-year-old wife, Priscilla Ochola, before calling 911 to report the incident.


3. Olubunmi Abodunde: In May 2024, in the United Kingdom, Olubunmi Abodunde was sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering his wife, Taiwo, with a skateboard.


4. Ovye Yakubu: In January 2022, in Lafia, Nasarawa State, Nigeria, Ovye Yakubu allegedly killed his wife, Esther Aya, following an argument over hiring a carpenter to fix a window in their residence.


5. Muhammed Alpha: In January 2022, a 57-year-old man, Muhammed Alpha, was arrested for allegedly stabbing his wife of over 20 years with a knife over the ownership of a door made from zinc.


6. Emmanuel Chigozie: In 2022, Emmanuel Chigozie killed his pregnant wife over a minor disagreement.


7. Wisdom Joseph: In 2022, Wisdom Joseph allegedly strangled his wife, Evelyn Alifiya, to death.


8. Unnamed Nigerian Man in Georgia, USA: In June 2021, a 34-year-old Nigerian man attacked his estranged wife's parents' home in Douglasville, Georgia, USA, killing her and his mother-in-law before taking his own life.


9. Unnamed Nigerian Men in the USA: Between 2006 and 2008, ten Nigerian women, eight of them nurses, were killed in the US by their partners—shot, stabbed, or bludgeoned to death.


10. Unnamed Nigerian Pharmacist: In July 2010, a Nigerian pharmacist, Olufemi Oladapo Ademoye, was arrested in Tampa, Florida, for the murder of his wife, Juliet Ademoye.

It's crucial for Nigerian women to on the guard and careful. I sometimes wish there could be a war so these men can be sent away. We need to reduce their population .

Just yesterday on this forum on the front page, a mother of three stabbed her husband to death in Osun[quote][/quote]. Two weeks back, a bride in Jigawa poisoned the groom and the wedding guests, killing 5 people. The stories of such are endless.

It is irresponsible to paint these killings particularly on one gender.

Also write about Nigerian women killing their husbands. Infact one recently hit her husband in the head with pestle while sleeping . Another used domestic knife to stab her husband in the chest and died.

This is my submission. If your husband is violent towards you leave the Marriage.

For the past decade there have been more women killing their husbands than husbands killing their wives so what's the essence of this emotional ladened thought process? You women will shout all of the media how men are cheats but when DNA test is mentioned you all starts shouting and crying. Make una go rest, stats shows women are more violent than males . The only reason why it seems we ain't seeing this is because when women acts violently men seem to act in self defense in more violent manner but for those who are more vulnerable than women (children of other people) women unleash hell in them with no mercy, If you don't see this then you are not in Nigeria.

When you marry a happy man or a happy woman, you get a happy marriage.

You can't marry women this and not be happy. You will always have reasons to be happy.
