Oyomesi challenging the Gov .

Like the good old days , kings were chosen by the oracle, while the likes oyomesi will see the oracle priest to upturn the real chosen king to the one they likes and Owo eyo ( Old days money ) will change hand. But now na Governors dey chose .

If the governor has candidate, he should have invited the king makers and reach compromise with them.

Whether the king makers receive money or not is nobody's business after all Seyi Makinde himself knows how much he spent before he became governor.

King installation happens ones in a while sometimes 50 years interval. So charging money is not a crime. It is their office.

It is a show of shame both from the Governor and the OyoMesi.

Tradition stipulates that the OyoMesi, who is the custodian of culture, are expected to consult the oracle who will pick the king for the city. Then, forward the name to the Governor, who will issue the certificate.

For more than 3 years that alaafin died, Oracle "refused" to talk to the OyoMesi. OyoMesi should come out to tell us why their oracle did not talk for 3 years.

Then, who passed the name to the Governor - Seyi Makinde. Why did the Makinde give certificate to a name being challenged by the OyoMesi.

This episode reveals the dirt in our society. Corruption everywhere. These people being made the king, no one cares to investigate their background. Once money changes hands, it means the oracle has spoken. Even a deportee, and an ex-convict from the US was made king in Osun, and despite the revelation, he still maintains the stool.

Kano is yet to recover from Ganduje's interference in the emir stool. The bribery allegation is not true

To become a governor in Nigeria be ready to spend at least 500 million naira. It is not Seyi Makinde that will say king makers should not collect money. It is not his business. Didn't he settle party leaders and political thugs before he became governor?
