Both Adeoye Lambo and Eyitayo Lambo are from Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Please, do a thorough Google search and be gracious enough to tell us what you found about Eyitayo Lambo in particular.

As they are now Hausa-Yoruba people.
How do we handle them?

When did he claim to be that?

In no particular order. As a Yoruba man from Kogi, I noticed there's less discussion about the Okun people. So I made this compilation of famous Okun people. We're one Yoruba people, this is not a competition against any other subgroup. Also, none Yoruba people should keep off, this thread is not for disunity, but just one more glory of the Yoruba people.

That's how some of you come to the public place like Nairaland to display your stupidity for everyone to see. What do you mean there's no Yoruba in Kogi state?

You no see Yetunde, you no see Gbenro, you no see Deji, you no see Adéyemi, you no see Nike for that list? Are those not Yoruba names?

Kogi state is the only Nigerian state that shared boundaries with about 10 other states. That means the state is a cauldron of different tribes.

No Yoruba in Edo

Akoko-Edo are NOT Yoruba
I have to step into your convo... You are historically incorrect here.

Usen, Egbeta, and Utese in Ovia South West LGA of Edo State for instance are ancestrally originally of Ufe (Ife) descent from over 900 years ago. The current traditional ruler of Usen (formerly called Ife Kekere) is His Royal Majesty Oba Olu Ogbe, the Olu Awure of Usenland. He is a direct descendant of Afelogiyan, Oranmiyan's biological older brother who was the first ever ruler of Usen. Both Prince Afelogiyan and Prince Oranmiyan who later became the first Oba of Benin are both grandsons of Oduduwa who originally came from Oke Ora [Oke means mountain and Ora is the name of a Yoruba deity) just 8 miles from what is now Ile Ife. This is what is referred to allegorically in Yoruba religious liturgy as the "descent from the sky" of Oduduwa.

Watch the 4 videos BELOW to know CLEARLY that Yorubas are in Edo State:

1] Usen is not Benin. Usen is Yoruba

2] Elawure [Olu Awure] of Usen pays thank you visit to Gov. Oshiomhole

3] Edward Onah conferred with chieftaincy title by Olu-Awure of Usen

Independent Television and Radio• 7:34.

4] 99% of Benin Traditions are from ile ife

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZznZ8Cdb5aM

Just so you know, the people of Usen speak their Yoruba dialect till today (and also speak Benin language because they are close to Benin and the Palace of the Oba of Benin in terms of ancestry as direct cousins). It was directly from Usen that Oranmiyan went to what is now Benin and become the FIRST ever Oba of Benin after the Ogiso era ended.
This is why Usen plays a strong role during every coronation ceremony of any Oba of Benin. During the coronation ceremony of the current Oba Ewuare II in 2016, he CLEARLY affirmed in the video that he is a direct descendant on the paternal line of Oranmiyan who came from Ife in Osun State to become the first Oba of Benin over 800 years ago and stated that he is the 40th Oba of Benin. So, the people of Usen in Ovia South West LGA of EDO State who have NEVER denied their Ife ancestry (unlike the Oba of Benin's Palace since the time of Oba Erediauwa in the early 2000s for political subterfuge), and they greet one another with the family salutation called DELAUHE meaning "How is Ife?" and all Benin people who have ancestral paternal lineages to Ile Ife from centuries back all engage in the same DELAUHE salutations. The Oba of Benin is greeted or saluted with LAMOGUN emphasizing the connection with Ogun, the Yoruba deity of War and Iron which was introduced from Ife as told by the people of Usen. The maternal descent of Oba Eweka the son of Oranmiyan is of Egor origin which is aboriginal so, the Oranmiyan Dynasty indeed has Yoruba paternal lineage and aboriginal maternal lineage from the Ogiso era.

That's an impressive list of distinguished folks of Okun-Yoruba descent. I used to think the British-Nigerian co-founder of the iconic music group, Light House Family 'Tunde Baiyewu is paternally from Abeokuta in Ogun State but he's right here under Kogi State. A younger sister of his Kofo (who I know) is former President Olusegun Obasanjo's biological daughter married to a White guy. Sam Adeyemi is another surprise here... That's mad cool.

Yinka Dare (who is from Kabba but was born in 1972 in Kano. He (painfully passed on in 2004) played in the U.S. Collegiate basketball for George Washington University in the United States back from the early 1990s (long before we ever heard of the Bam Adebayos or the Giannis Adetokunbos of today).

Because of his very tall height at 7 ft tall, he was seen by American NBA analysts as the next big replacement for the iconic 2-time NBA MVP, Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon of the Houston Rockets after being drafted into the NBA, but his sudden death on January 9, 2004 truncated that. Yinka Dare hailed from Kabba in the current Kogi State. He has a British-born biological older brother named Michael. I actually personally knew both of them from back in the day. Yinka Dare's commanding memories will remain.

OK, I found a link. Read more about Yinka Dare right BELOW.
=>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yinka_Dare

The iconic Chief Sunday Awoniyi who was the FIRST EVER Yoruba man to become the Chairman of Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) in the 2000s till he passed on. His first son was also the past Deputy Governor of Kogi State when Governor Wada was in charge of Kogi State.

I also know of the seasoned TV and media personality Babajide Kolade Otitoju and a TV political analyst Gbola Oba who are both from Kogi State. The badass Gbola Oba was born in Lagos State though but is actually from Kogi.

Indeed, looking at the names here from a bird's eye view, Yoruba folks of Kogi State are NO pushovers. They are absolutely well-read and accomplished folks from the music maestro Art Alade (Dare Art Alade's biological father), to Yinka Dare of George Washington University and the U.S. NBA, to Tolu Arotile (the FIRST ever female combat helicopter pilot of the Nigerian Air Force in 2019 who actually flew on combat missions against terrorists), and more.

Indeed, as a world history enthusiast for many years now, I came across documents in the archives emphasizing that in the whole of the Old Northern Nigeria Region, the Old Kabba Province was always leading or coming tops in education.

The Okun-Yorubas and Ebiras of the current Kogi State and parts of Yorubas from the current Kwara State were the major academic arrow heads of the Old Kabba Province. The Old Ilorin Province too had brilliant folks as well.
The father of the current Governor of Kwara State (the late AbdulGaniyu Folorunso AbdulRasaq, SAN), was the first ever qualified lawyer in the entire Old Northern Nigeria region and Nigeria's former Ambassador to Cote d'Ivoire back in the 1960s.
