Timileyin Ajayi, 32, has been arrested by the Nasarawa State Police Command for the murder of his girlfriend, Salome Adaidu, a 24-year-old corps member. Ajayi was apprehended on January 12 in New Karshi, Karu Local Government Area, while attempting to dispose of her severed head.

During an interview with Channels Television, Ajayi confessed to the crime, claiming it was unplanned and fueled by jealousy. “I killed her because of her chats with other guys. I have no regret because life is reciprocal,” he said.

The victim’s family, unaware of any relationship between the two, has demanded justice. Her uncle, Samson Adaidu, described the act as horrific, stating, “He butchered her into pieces. We expect justice to be served.”

The police have assured the public of thorough investigations, promising to prosecute Ajayi to the full extent of the law. The gruesome act has drawn widespread condemnation and calls for swift justice.
