Tflex01:In line with my January 1 reply to the guy that asked for 2024 personal lessons. I acted on number 2 again and it's paying off quite well. When btC dip for days and it's close to a major support, and you want to introduce new funds to the market (especially if it's a big money).., longing btC with good leverage is better than putting all in alts. It is safer too. In a situation where that support fails to hold, your liquidation price would still be far away while alts would have menstruated into nothingness, giving another opportunity for a good entry/DCA on your favourite alts. ![]() As a reminder, ALWAYS TAKE PROFIT! See trading as an art. Look at your chart as an artist and not as a mathematician. No amount of calculations would predict to you what people would do next, keep it simple and that might just be the breakthrough you need. When you look at chart, see people, see area where people all agreed at that point in time that price is too low or high. See the buying and selling power so as to predict the future price. Keep it simple and simple till hindsight becomes foresight. The goal is to become a good and consistently profitable trader, and not a chart architect.

geedot:Another one, not a crypto pair so the name has been cropped out. The outcome is the same and it happens across all timeframes, buyers push price up until everyone that wanted to be long are already in, price will reverse to look for more buyers, as it starts reversing, some sellers would see this and start selling, then price start dipping low, those that were initially long might start adding to their position, and new buyers that saw the discounted price as good opportunity to buy after initially missing out, and if the selling volume is minute compared to the buying volume, the buyers will consume all their orders and price will continue going up. So what do I do most time, I just wait and anticipate exhaustion from the dominant side of the market, wait around area where majority are told to wait for price reversals which is the support and resistance, supply and demand area. I'm constantly checking the volume and what price is doing with it. For example, if volume is reducing on the buy side, price should stop going up. But if price keeps ticking up instead, that's an anomaly that something is not right with all those bullish move. I won't short there, instead wait at the next close resistance zone, before shorting because that's where massive liquidity would be resting.

Before I was done typing that long epistle, price had already whooshed to the downside but unfortunately missed my take profit before stopping me out for little profit. That's the market logic, and once mastered, you'd feel like a god and won't want to listen to anyone again. Second image modified: It later played out

| Re: Crypto Currency Investors Thread by geedot: 2:51pm On Jan 17, 2025 |
Bitcoin just gave a perfect example of what I explained above. I missed out on this trade. You can see the selling volume decreasing, but price kept dropping and immediately they got to a fresh support zone, the buyers consumed the remnant sell orders and pushed price up aggressively. Why was it so, the selling was exhausted and no one is really interested in selling based on the volume activity, buyers are waiting at a swing low to buy like they are taught. What happens next, boom, easy trade. But what if price is coming with an aggressive selling volume? It will blow through that support like breeze. That's the reason why support and resistance trading is like a 50:50 method because it works sometimes and doesn't work sometimes. But knowing why it works and fails will help you with the knowledge of which one to engage in and which one to stay out of. Have a nice weekend traders.

Tflex01:If you win 7-9 trades out of 10, one loss trade won't humble you, would it? Add to the fact that you even make more on a winning trade than you do on a losing trade. Would that small loss humble you? Well, if it was me, it wouldn't humble me. |

Bitcoin on a down mission, see the buying volume exhaustion on a wider view? They are going for that low and most likely be taken out. I'm short Bitcoin already. Image not loading. ![]() |

iLegendd:I don't have that patience like you to trade larger timeframes. I wouldn't stop checking the chart every 1hr to see how the trade is playing out, I just had to accept that fact about myself and move to lower timeframe that best suits my personality. |

Valwezzy:I trade a very small timeframe, check the 1-5minute chart from that time I made that post and you'd see that micro short move that happened immediately afterwards. I was stopped at break even though as it didn't go down low as I had anticipated. |

I always talk about having strategies, a main super strategy and being patient and consistent. I even added the market rewards the specialist. So, those that always want me to call a coin, I'm a BTC specialist. My call is 5 green day and knowing the Re-Sel-Bu-Bum year you're in. (Relax year, Sell year, But year, Buy-More year). I don't chart any other coin except BTC. Every indicator I try, it's only on BTC 1 week TF, 1 day and 1 months. Occasionally, 4 hours, 15 mins and 5 mins. The moment it works on those, it's approved. Before I started using indicators, I made sure I'm good manually. So, if you're a beginner, try to learn TA the hard way first before you join the easy lane. One example of easy lane is this free market structure and price action indicator called Mxwll Price Action Suite on Tradingview. Don't go close to it if you're a beginner. It's too good and will make you lazy. It's Smart Money Concept all done for you. Has FVG, demand and supply, support and resistance, Fibonacci, order block, BOS, ChoCh, etc. It's an all-in-1 plug-and-play suite. To make it even more accurate, you tweak the settings. It's in my top 10 indicators.

I disobeyed one of my rules today and I'm not happy. I vowed to only short BTC when it does 10% or more in a day (with volume exhaustion), but I sold my 89k buy and shorted at 103.3k, then added more short to make it 103.7k, but sadly, it's still at 6.20%. This means there "might" be 3.80% more upside before pullback. I hope it doesn't happen, but I've seen the BSide liquidity they're hunting. At least, it's not much anymore.

geedot:You're right. When I started trading years ago, I did the same and with zero indicators. I won a lot, lost a lot and the experience is what helped me in building patience and focusing on the 4 year cycle and opportunistic trades. I love watching videos on YouTube and comedy on Tiktok, so I no longer have the time to be on chart regularly. I have a voice alert that tells me the situation of the market and price of every coin that is dumping or pumping and the percentage. So, with that, I'm actually aware of the situation report without opening my chart. |

iLegendd:Nobody has the right to talk down on your contribution to this thread. You have every right to brag. After tweaking this method of yours, I've become a guru when it comes to trading. I remember i started longing $Sol from when it cames to 220 with a 10X leverage. When it cames to 169.43, i got liquidated but unfortunately my buy order didn't take on bybit cos i forgot to put money in my unified trading account. I quickly took the trade on Onus and bitget and now, I've recovered my looses and now in good profit. Thank you my leader for your selfless teaching, more blessings to you

harry2sexy:The market rewards a specialist. The people that try to say negative things are traders (those people have ego issue and "who sabi trade pass" mentality and I hate being identified as one of them) and the second people are the newbies who have lost a lot and are looking for who to blame. Na why I dey fear to give coin, but teach them how to find those coins themselves—which is even better for them, but dem no wan hear. They just want who to blame when things go wrong. You never see where some newly converted or new believers dey abuse God cuz something bad happened in their family? That is humans for you. Woman go cheat, she go blame her husband for not satisfying her. Man go cheat, he go blame alcohol or the Devil. People making money are hardly upset. |

iLegendd:Four year cycle? I couldn't even swing a trade comfortably for 1-2weeks without me checking the chart 24/7. I called this Bitcoin downward move and then the upward move here about two weeks ago, but I didn't even take it because of the duration it would take. I hate seeing green turn red and green again. That back and forth stuff turns me off.
