I keep getting this error message below and I have raised a ticket on it which has been on HOLD for 3 weeks now.

I filled my ds160 for Lagos and on scheduling my appointment there is no available dates in Lagos then I scheduled in Abuja for the interview, do I open and fill a new ds160 for Abuja?
Mind you, the appointment confirmation letter carries the number of the ds160 I filled with Lagos, do I go ahead and open a new ds160 for Abuja and hope there won’t be complications when I get to the embassy or is there a way I can change that of Lagos to Abuja in AVITS

Please I need clarity 🙏

Please don’t fill another ds160. Just go with the one you filled out for Lagos. They will resolve it for you at the security. This happened to me in December when I went for my interview. The people that are in charge of documents just helped me retrieve it on their system and it did not take too long. Do not complete another ds160.

For you to be convinced, see below screenshot of US embassy websites and avits instructions.

Why not go for mpower financing which is an international students loans based in Washington DC, if your loan application is approved they will give you visa support letter which you give your school to get your i20. Loan repayment duration is 10yrs. Chances of one getting scholarships these days are very slim. Note that they only fund stem courses and MBA in some universities.

Hello my pre-approval process on the Avits portal has been successful after over a month but am unable to pick a date in lagos as once i click on tha available days in green color, it wont direct me to the next step of picking time, but the abuja location is working i dont know if anyone is experiencing the same issue as me; i have sent them a ticket to this

My school resumption date is April 2025. I was able to secure a visa interview slot in Jun 2025. I'm I eligible to apply for expedition?

Exactly the same thing i experienced. Mine was on 10th of december 2024. My advise to you is to pay for a new mrv and book another appointment. During my own time, it was very fustrating.
The customer support i contacted told me to get a new mrv. I think they purposely do it. those people sabi fustrate person

Interview suspension and how did you went about.

With the new portal i booked interview on the 6th january only to get to the embassy I was told my sevis payment is not reflecting.

Now i want to book another appointment but can’t because it seems my profile is locked.

Does anyone have experience on this??

This issue got me worried because i was told at the embassy they will unlocked the profile that i should give 1business day its over a week now yet i cant reschedule appointment.

Yes! Same April 1st deadline. Do you have information about external fundings one can apply for or perhaps how to get assistantship to add to the scholarship?

Please advice! I am trying to schedule an appointment for myself F1 and my kids F2. How do I proceed to generate an amentum reference number for my dependents (F2). I have already paid my visa fee and I am the stage of booking appointment. My appointment scheduling was approved. Not sure how to proceed with my F2 to ensure we get the same appointment date. Should I complete my own appointment and start a fresh application for my F2? If yes, can my F2 (kids) use my Avits profile for their application?
