Reading some sensible comments here. The day we decide to become prosperous, we will eliminate corruption by punishing violators and rewarding good people. That all we need to do. If Yahaya Bello is presently battling firing squad, others will learn. But after looting, they keep smiling in court and waving hands...then, we will not know prosperity in this nation. |

Hmmmm ....grabbing all they can get from the West via World Bank and IMF ... and Africa banks.... max out on them ....now turning to BRICS for one reason .... secure more loans. These people are not interested in the well being of Nigeria but in building their personal wealth. Again ...Nigeria needs a coup ...these political vultures be rounded up... have their balls squeezed until they give up the whereabouts of all their assets .... have them confiscated ... and they all tried and thrown into prison for life ....watery beans on Sundays ... beans water and garri the other days |

The acronym for BRICS should be changed to suit the entry of new members otherwise it will create a superior- subordinate scenario. |

Nigeria in the first place is not qualified to be a country. What makes Nigeria a country? One, there're two constitutions (secular and sharia) being practiced. Two, the democracy is a sham (there's never been any credibility in the elections conducted since inception). Three, the tribalism, nepotism and hate are insane among different groups of the supposed citizens. Four, the corruption in every sectors are insane, and politically driven. Five, criminals, terrorists and arsonists are forgiven and given juicy positions in government. Six, mediocrity is rewarded against merits and skills. Seven, multifunctional poverty is in an upward trend even when there's a change in leadership because the illiterates rule the literates. I can go on and on. ![]() |

Fostering ties with international unions is not a step to development. I have repeatedly said it, if Russia cannot teach our engineers how to build power plants, fighter jets, ships and warships, China cannot teach our young technicians how to build cheaper and durable cars, electronics, robots etc. we are wasting our time. Let the Government prioritize Human Capital development. A ripe population as ours can't be bereft of knowledge of production and self sufficiency and sustenance. The government will rather expect me to use my hard money to go abroad or send my children abroad to learn viable skills and come back to a nation that doesn't value me to use those skills to cause industrial development. Anyone close to Tinubu should tell him to take seriously HDI. |
