Sanwo-Olu Receives Lagos Assembly Speaker, Mojisola Meranda, Principal Officers by Lanrelagboi(op): 2:20pm On Jan 20, 2025

FLASH: Governor of Lagos State, Mr. @jidesanwoolu received the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly @lshaofficial, Rt. Hon. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda @mojisolalawal4u and the other Principal Officers of the House, on a Courtesy Visit, at his office, Alausa, Ikeja this morning.

The Speaker was received by Mr Governor and his Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, shortly before the commencement of the weekly State Executive Council meeting.

Governor Sanwo-Olu led the Speaker and her delegation to the Council Chamber, where the Speaker and EXCO members pledged to continue harmonious work relationship between the two arms of Government In Lagos State.

The Principal Officers that accompanied Madam Speaker:

Deputy Speaker: Hon Mojeed Fatai (Ibeju-Lekki State Constituency 1)

Majority Leader: Hon. Temitope Adedeji (Ifako Ijaiye 1),

Deputy Majority Leader, Hon. Richard Kasunmu (Ikeja 2)

Chief Whip, Hon. Sanni Babatunde (Kosofe 1)

Deputy Chief Whip, Hon. David Setonji (Badagry 2)

The senate and executive are not expected to have a harmonious relationship. They are tp have a check and balance relationship. If not just scrap these houses of assembly and d NASS.

Good one. Obasa was too power drunk and felt he was untouchable. He showed great disrespect to Ambode and even threatened to impeachment. He didn't see Sanwoolu better than a cleaner in his office. The period couldn't have been better for his impeachment and the end of his political career.

You have spoken the truth but politicians always see themselves as allies & never check each other unless there is conflict of "personal" interest. The same way a police officer will never call out another police; they know how much of the same thing they want.
