A heartwarming viral video captured the moment when students of Obafemi Awolowo University showered their lecturer, Dr. Olagunju, with gifts to show appreciation for his dedication and hard work.

The video, shared on TikTok by user #doxaleey on Tuesday, shows students standing up one by one to present their gifts to Dr. Olagunju, who was visibly surprised and smiling throughout the gesture.

In the caption accompanying the video, #doxaleey wrote, “We wanted to express our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Olagunju for his exceptional dedication and hard work this semester, and we couldn’t come up with a better idea than this.

"Despite the challenges of teaching Parts 1-4 alone, Dr. Olagunju has consistently demonstrated his commitment to our education and well-being. His efforts have not gone unnoticed, and we’re deeply appreciative of the positive impact he’s had on our learning experience.

That baba really taught us how to adapt and cope with real life challenges but he didn’t know it yet. I would never forget the day baba knelt down to beg prof ogunkoya to accept my thesis as prof ogunkoya was angry I had resumes after 7 weeks of lecture had gone by, eventually I ended up having a c without doing the project defense. But you see that Mr olapoju, make that man fear my return 😂. I don declare war with anybody answering olapoju as surname 😠😠
