[quote author=favor2016 post=133709454]Good day everyone,
Pls , is it possible to do authentication of documents same day in both MOE and MOFA?[/quote

2 days, possible if you come early, first day it's for MOE, Second day for MOFA.
that's if you are among the first 15 people attended to that day.

Important Advice for Nigerians Seeking Admission in Portugal

If you're planning to study in Portugal, it's important to be clear about your reasons for wanting to go abroad. From my understanding, people usually fall into two categories:

1. *The "JAPA" Type*: People who see studying abroad as a way to leave Nigeria (JAPA) and seek better opportunities elsewhere.
2. *The Genuine Study Type*: People who truly want to study in a western country and are less focused on employment.

If you're the *JAPA type*, I advise you to be cautious about the universities and regions you choose. Avoid schools located in areas with low employment rates, as this could limit your job opportunities once you're there. Focus on cities or states with higher employment rates, even if the tuition is a bit more expensive.

If you're in the *second category*—someone who just wants to study and has a sponsor or doesn't need to work to support yourself—you can easily apply to any university of your choice, without worrying about job prospects.

Portugal is a flexible country, and most universities allow you to pay your tuition in *installments*. If you're able to secure a good job, paying your fees and supporting yourself will be much easier. So, for those looking to JAPA, don't focus solely on cheap tuition—prioritize areas with strong employment opportunities, as that will help you in the long run.
Hi. Thanks for your advice. I plan to study but only my first year fees would be paid for and on my own after that. I would like to secure admission in regions with high employment rate and also low cost of living. I plan to do my research on this, but I'd like you to also recommend cities that is good for work and study if you know any.
Thanks in anticipation.

Just come to embassy in 2nd of January your documents is ready, they will retrieve it and ask you to go to bank and pay.
Hi. Please I'm a newbie here. As a matter of fact, I started considering Portugal this evening. I have done some research about verification of documents and all, but it's not that much. Please, if you have step by step process anywhere that you can just copy and paste for me, it'd be highly appreciated.
Thanks.

Ok. Thanks for your response really. Now I sent a mail to my school, and they said they don't require legalization on their part. Now the question is do I still need to do authentication/legalization with MOE or the embassy or its not necessary?
Hi. Please, tell me how it worked for you without legalization of documents. I'm thinking of applying only to schools who don't require legalization of documents for international students and I want to know what other things are involved. Cos the way I see it, I don't think I have the time to go through the whole legalization process if I must apply this January. Thanks.

Why we advice people to authenticate and legalize before applying is because it is getting competitive and you are going to pay application fee of 50-100 euros an most of the schs consider those that have authenticate, notarize or even legalised their documents for admission first in given admission.
So if dont want to risking loosing the application fee, you authenticate and notrize before applying, because some schs also accept stamp notarized copy from a lawyer, as a certify copy, too.

Good day house, I have authenticated my documents but can't book for legalization cos there is no space to book.

Should I go ahead and apply, does anyone know the deadline for application?
I am going for masters.

Embassy pasted free appointment date for submission of documents in their notice board last week, so you have this coming week, Tuesday and Thursday to make up, but you have to come very early, as early as 5:30 am because there much crowd but you could be lucky.
However if you also want to explore other alternatives to get your documents submitted I can handle that for you.
It is important to legalize your documents before applying for admission inorder not to loose the 50 euros application fee been charge by most schs and most of the schs consider those who have legalized first in giving admission.
You still have time to sort out the legalization issue, some sch are opening from second week of February, before that that time you can get your legalized documents ready.
submission.

Go through the school's tuition-fees pages and find the ones with cheap tuition fees.

Google can help you too.
